What I Want from A Dr. Mundo Rework

DrMundo Dr. Mundo, the Madman of Zaun.

I love playing Mundo for multiple reasons; he's a safe pick given he can farm and harass without being in melee range and he is hard to kill, usually being the champion I pick if I'm first or second pick so I don't get countered (my other main is Singed, who has very obvious counters). One thing I don't like about Dr. Mundo is his build options; I always grab Sunfire Cape and Spirit Visage, every frickin' time. I want the rework Mundo to have build options, to be able to have variety in his build path so that I don't build the same stuff every time. My suggestions for diversifying Mundo's options are as followed:

Passive, Adrenaline Rush: Now, what it does now is fine but also really boring. With a name like Adrenaline Rush, you think it would do more based on what its called. I propose that Mundo moves faster when he has lower health, but perhaps only when he is moving towards enemies since he already has an easy time escaping with his ultimate assuming Sadism keeps its bonus movement speed. Mundo of course keeps his innate health regeneration, since his health is the resources he spends in order to use abilities.

Q, Infected Cleaver: By itself, this ability is fine if not very punishing for people who can't dodge skill shots given it scales with enemy maximum health and a few inherit things like magic penetration and some item abilities like Luden's Echo and Rylai's Crystal Scepter, but here's the rub: while it does deal magic damage and benefits from things that effect magic damage, it doesn't scale with Ability Power and thus Ability Power items are useless unless they provide other kinds of utility. My suggestion is to dial back Infected Cleaver's base damage and let it scale with Ability Power (or even Attack Damage, but with a lower ratio) so that when I get far ahead and feel like building more damage, I can build a Liandry's Torment or a Void Staff without feeling like I'm wasting gold. Visually, I'd like it if Mundo pulled each new cleaver after throwing one from his back; it makes no aesthetic sense that Mundo damages himself when he uses his Infected Cleaver if he isn't pulling out the cleavers from his own body.

W, Burning Agony: The ability is sound, it scales with Ability Power already, but it could use some balancing in regards to its use; if the changes with Adrenaline Rush go through, perhaps the cost of the ability should be percentile so not only is Burning Agony causing damage around Mundo but its also making him go faster thanks to his passive and lower the cooldown on his Masochism thanks to its passive; one thing that becomes increasingly difficult as Mundo gets tankier is utilizing missing health for damage, this ability could help get a sweet spot by lowering your own health, like Rumble's overheat mechanic. In order to help this ability correspond better with the new version of Sadism, perhaps it costs nothing during his ultimate or it costs less health the lower Mundo's health is. I'd also recommend an aesthetic change that makes it look more like Mundo is also setting himself on fire rather then fire just dancing around him.

E, Masochism: This ability already ties into Mundo's theme of power from missing health and was given a nice change awhile ago that helps it scale a bit more with what Mundo builds generally. Lets be honest, the Attack Damage part of the ability is pretty negligible later on given Mundo becomes too tanky to make proper use of it, making the only useful part being the enhanced auto-attack that comes from activating it. I'd say get rid of the bonus Attack Damage and instead have the ability act like Amumu's Tantrum where the more damage Mundo is taking, the faster Masochism comes off cooldown and this even fits perfectly with the meaning of Masochism itself. While the bonus Attack Damage is fine, its aesthetically deceptive, it doesn't have any apparent impact on the game visually.

R, Sadism: A pretty bare bones ultimate that only benefits building tank, though given Mundo's abilities, he needs to be tanky anyway in order to fully utilize his kit. This is where there is a slight contradiction to Mundo's abilities, especially if the changes I suggested are implemented. Instead of simply giving Mundo bonus movement speed on top of healing, I would suggest when Mundo activates Sadism, he gets healing like normal and he gains all the benefits of having low health during its duration even if he heals to full health. With this change, Mundo retains his movement speed and as well gains other benefits from his abilites but when Sadism ends and Mundo stands at full health, he loses all those benefits until he lowers his health again.

Those are my proposed changes to Dr. Mundo, thank you for reading.

What about keeping current passive idea, but making it a tad more exciting? Like 'Mundo regens x%hp in combat with enemy champion/large monster and for 5 seconds after'? This HP regen is pretty important for Mundo, isn't it?

Actually, I sort of like the position mundo is in currently. His passive helps him override his health costs, his Q deals magic damage based on enemy current health, and doesn't scale with ap, which makes it so that you don't have the urge to do something silly like going AP on mundo, effectively locking him down as a tank. His W is a nice burn and tenacity buff, though it perhaps isn't the most interesting ability. It could maybe use a few changes, but meh. His E is AMAZING. Dealing a percentage of your own HP and then getting 100-200 bonus AD? Are you nuts man? 100-200 bonus AD is awesome! And his ult is meh, but pretty darn useful imo.
