Taliyah Mastery 7

I just got Mastery 7 on Taliyah. Despite what everyone says about her - needing buffs and stuff - I just hope she doesn't get nerfed! lol

So my build varies, I used to start RoA then Rylais, but now it's different.

RoA is completely unnecessary unless you have no mana control. I actually take the_ Meditation_ mastery so I am not a manaless lost cause.

Depending on the matchup, it's very simple. You either get Rylais (best option if you're stomping), Hourglass (versing a Zed/Talon, the early armor with farm is outstanding, but I also will take hourglass if losing vs a Fizz/Kat but I will pick it up eventually if needed either way), or Abyssal Scepter (Losing vs Leblanc/Kat or laning vs Viegar!)

Best part is, YOU WON'T LOSE! If you have the swag to keep up with Taliyah's awesome kit.

Pros:

Poke with Q Movement speed with Q Passive on walls (Roaming potential is phenomenal. I usually gank bot at level 3 or 4 because she brings a lot to a gank. Combine with your jungler, you got two toasted champions or four toasted summoner spells!) W and E are just nice spells you should know how they work. Normally, your ult should be used to distort a team's position. You can also use it for emergencies to get somewhere quicker but I'd prefer to use passive moment speed then cut off an exit with the ult. R will prevent enemy team from contesting baron, dragon, inhibs (yes), and even the nexus!!!!

It is always satisfying watching as the enemy team helplessly stands still behind your wall when you cut their fountain off.

Go to build would be Rylai's,_ Morello's_, Luden's (burst and movement speed). Rabadon's and Liandry's are both great choices. However, I choose Liandry's because... Magic Pen, HP, and HP% damage? Who doesn't love HP% damage? Swain doesn't. RIP SWAIN - 5everBanned

Cons:

NO ESCAPE. But you have plenty of utility to take yourself out of sticky situations. Using Q on Worked Ground when you aren't aware can hurt in a team fight since the damage is completely just poke. But the slow can still catch somebody! Misuse of your ultimate. Not much to tell you here. But you don't want to catch your own team out, or block them from engaging on a vulnerable target. But this all comes with practice.

Ganking with ult from afar is not difficult, but in the middle of the team fight it IS possible to split important members of enemy team like Maokai, Nautilus, Nasus when their squishy carries are on the side with your team. Imagine that kind of party!

The only champion I've encountered to have difficulty laning against would be Ahri. Ahri can have more movement speed than you with her Q's passive but when she ults it goes pretty down hill. Either luck or intense prediction skills will make you come out on top. But your rock mines do damage her dash while she is in her ultimate.

Swain is also difficult but all you have to do is build Morello's and Liandry's and you should have a good time!

Feel free to ask any questions.

I also have a Level 7 Mastery on Taliyah Taliyah in my main account (Diamond 5)! OH YEAH, Taliyah Mains unite!

I build her differently though. My first item is without question, item 3100 Lich Bane. The powerspike from the item is honestly insane. As soon as I have it, I automatically know I can kill every single person on the enemy team at that point in time. The Spellblade gets procced so often, too. E > AA > Q > AA during Q > W into E field > AA while enemy is in mid air is four procs in a single combo.

After Lich Bane, I try to snowball as hard as possible, so item 3285 Luden's Echo is my next item. Taliyah charges the Luden's Echo proc so quickly. It's pretty much always available in every gank. Plus, the movement speed from item 3100 Lich Bane + item 3285 Luden's Echo + Taliyah Taliyah's Passive means I can delay or outright forgo my boots sometimes.

item 3116 Rylai's Crystal Scepter is usually my third item, when I start needing a little bit of tankiness for the mid game. I usually couple it with a item 3151 Liandry's Torment to deal with the tanks and the Epic monsters like Baron and Elder Dragon.

The last two items are of course, situational, but ideally, I'd have a item 3026 Guardian Angel and a item 3157 Zhonya's Hourglass or item 3001 Abyssal Scepter.

Hi I'm a rank 6 Taliyah. I would be rank 7 by now but I stayed so long at rank 5 because I didn't have Blue Essence. However, I reached rank 5 Taliyah in 3 days shortly after she came out.

Here are my tips and tricks for Taliyah:

If you're in a matchup that you know can probably win in a 1v1, you want to shove the lane as hard as you can, whenever you can. Since you can't beat them in a fight, beat them in CS.

In the beginning, you want to hit level 2 as fast as you can. You can do this by using a volley on the mage minions (they tend to group up and can all be hit by the same rocks). AA the melees and force them to lose minions under tower. Once you hit level 2, I would usually take W in case I get ganked or the enemy laner does not take a dash at level 2. Otherwise take E against someone like LeBlanc who has a dash. Keep shoving lane and try to harass with your Q.

What people underestimate the most about you is that your Q does a ton of damage to minions. If you see your enemy champion hiding behind a group of mid-hp minions, volley those minions, killing them in 1-2 hits and the rest should hit them, dealing 200% damage plus thunderlords.

There's been a debate on whether to max Q or E and it seems to be more ideal to max Q with the recent buff, but it's actually situational. I used to max E all the time, but now I take Q against most conventional mages like Lux or Ahri. I max E against Melee mid laners like Yasuo or Zed or Ekko.

To be honest, Taliyah has one of the best laning phases in a game. She (at least for me) beats everyone except Katarina and maybe Fizz in lane.

For builds, I usually rush RoA if I'm successfully shoving and zoning the lane. The extra mana helps push the lane even harder and gives you some sustain and survivability.

For high damage AP matchups like Fizz, I rush Negatron Cloak into Abyssal Scepter because Taliyah has ridiculous base damages and with MR, she takes no damage.

For most AD mid matchups like Yasuo or Zed, I would take Seeker's Armguard for that 45 armor early on to nullify their damage. Yasuo should never win that lane, and against Zed, memorize the cooldown of his Living Shadow. In lane the cooldown is around 15 seconds, so when you think its up, try to bait it out by pacing back and forth close to the range of the shadow(about the range of flash). Once his shadow is down, poke and and force him out of lane by throwing an E to slow and Q, forcing him to run to a side. Throw your W when he is about to escape the E. Don't be afraid to get up in his face when his shadow is down, but know your limits. You are not an assassin. You do not kill people with one combo.

Last of all, your damage falls off a bit in the late game when everyone gets tanky, but your kit is still amazing at zoning. ayou become more of a damage support to your team, denying dashes and peeling the ADC with your W.

I don't need to mention her amazing roam potential because everyone is already talking about it.

Im a Taliyah Mastery 7 but I usually play her support. Her q poke damage is amazing for zoning carries off as well creating situations to get your carry a kill. Its good to know there are other people who play taliyah as I get a lot of comments form people that having a taliyah is an insta loss...

Taliyah has absolutely insane burst damage, but she has VERY long cooldowns.
