Malzahar ult and Yasuo Windwall

This is weird for me, since im on the perspective of Malzahar, but the fact that Windwall cannot stop his ultimate if directly between them kinda leaves Yasuo with very little to do against Malzahar, and again, im on the Malzahar side of this. I felt awkward being able to just use everything completely without risk of windwall blocking it.

As much as I feel it's the wrong answer on that poll, "Let Yasuo vomit void for like" really makes me chuckle. Void, the new all natural synthetic drug. All the cool kids are doing it! Just look at Yasuo!

Its not a ranged projectile kind of attack (like Ashe Caitlyn Jinx ult) so it bypasses his windwall.

im aware, its like Xerath Q, but im just seeing Yasuo do nothing against Malzahar.

Well Malz is a hard counter for Yasuo.

Malzahar is actually a really good counter agianst someone like Yasuo due to their repsective playstyles. Yasuo NEEDS to get upclose and personal to deal a LOT of his damage. Malzahar can easily punish somone for trying to all-in him due to how GOOD he is in 1v1 scenarios. Its one of his STRONGEST points. DON'T 1v1 MALZ! I keep getting suprised by how many people don't know that and just get melted by me... I fear that the MYMU will make people learn that the hard way though. And maybe they will start building this abomination against him as well: item 3139

Velkoz is ult is a linear AoE DoT beam. Lux ult is a linear AoE skillshot as well and ignores windwall.

Malzahar ult is a targeted DoT CC heavy damage dealer. This is why it ignores Windwall.

very aware of how he works, ive been abusing Malzahar against Yasuo since Yasuo came out, i just found that his overall strength simply overwhelmed Yasuo. He is a hard counter, i just had the thought about a bit more counter play towards Malzahar's beast lane phase and 1v1 potential

Someone who can out range him without having to get into the creep wave to farm fares much better against him though compared to Yasuo.

Some champions just aren't good at facing other certain champions.

Xerath Q is another linear AoE skillshot. Malzahar ult is single target ability. Though with the MYMU it will deal AoE damage based around the original target with them getting the same % Max HP damage as well.

Yea unfortunately Malz is probably one of the hardest counter for Yasuo because he can literally just keep applying space aids and ult when yas closes the gap....

Malzahar's ult is not a projectile.

This is a good thing. If Yasuo can make immobile characters miserable in lane by swooshing through the minions every tenth of a second, at least one character should have the pleasure of making him miserable for the laning phase.

Im seeing it more from a Malzahar balance perspective rather than a Yasuo balance. Malzahar has one of the strongest and safest laning phases, which makes 1v1 scenarios brutal against him, especially when you are a close quarters squishies ad that can be immobilized and covered head to toe in d.o.t abilities.

Malzahar's level 6 advantage is made up for the fact that Yasuo shits on him before then. Good luck hitting your Q. Pre-6 your only useful ability is E, which you're also trying to reset onto new minions for mana.

Also Yasuo deserves it because he's cancer.

as an experienced Malzahar i find no issues laning against him pre 6, a passive laning phase makes him useless, especially if you use Melefic visions properly
