Does anyone know about this?

I've been playing Jinx (6300 IP ADC) for AGES now and I've realized something that I never see any other Jinx players do (even pros). So as I (and probably every jinx player ever) play her it's go hard or go home, but you do have those situations where a sneaky Zed or Yi (or anyone really that has a point and click dash/gap closer) catches you off guard and you're left vulnerable. Most jinx players will just try to run. I prefer to place my E directly on top of me so they get rooted as soon as they get there, but I don't see any others players that do this. Is this something newly discovered or does no one ever use it?

Well, you run, and also throw them to where you're gonna be once you're done running, and then you run out of their auto attack range and shoot them.

It's an advanced tactic but hard to do sometimes because of timing. I do that all the time with Malz Q, Swain W, and Caitlyn W.

Its definitely entertaining when they try to dive and get rooted/killed under tower. takes good reactions tho.

I've literally been seeing every single Jinx doing this except for normals

I play Jinx all the time and I always do this. It's become so second nature that I can throw my traps in the path that i'm walking and by the time they appear, they'll get snared as soon as they reappear and i'll still be walking.

Are all examples of champions that can punish champions with gap closers, but no OP this is definitely the first time anyone has thought of such a thing! You are a true innovator.

The only problem is, is that it takes a split second to activate the actual snare so I usually place it ahead of where I'm running, either they leave you or they follow you with attempted damage and get snared

On the occasion I get auto-filled to be a marksmen with traps, I do this all the time against anyone with gap-closers.
