Let's talk Yasuo...

So let's break it down.

Yasuo...

He essentially has unlimited dashes, which makes any skillshot or channel pretty much impossible to land, on top of that he has his windwall, which blocks all projectiles. He can use these two abilities to farm, without the enemy laner having any chance of getting to him or hitting him. Should you manage to hit him with an ability, he has a passive shield that blocks most, if not all of the damage of early game abilities. He can use his Q (which has 100% AD scaling) for to poke the enemy laner effortlessly. He can either try to get in close, and hit them with the first 2 Q's, or just use his Q on minions, and throw out a whirlwind which does the same amount of damage and knocks enemies up. This is a somewhat easy ability to dodge, but fear not, riot thought of that. He can dash into you, and Q while dashing to spin, and deal damage around him. Using this with his 3rd Q will also knock enemies up. Once yasuo gets his ultimate, being hit by a whirlwind or being knocked up by the spin usually means death. Not only does it deal massive amounts of damage, it also teleports him to his target(s) and gives him 50% armor penetration on whoever he hits.

If you try to engage, he'll usually have a minion to dash through, or he'll be able to fight you back. If you try to poke him down, he'll use his windwall, dash and shield to negate most of what you try to hit.

It may just be because I am bad, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I see few ways to effectively play against a Yasuo who knows his shit.

PS. I don't want this to be one of those "im angry cause i lost, remove this champion" kind of discussions, i want to know if it is really just me, or if there is something to back up my beliefs

Yasuo is super squishy. Here is an easy way to win against him that requires very little effort to learn: Pick Morgana.

Runes: Standard AP setup. MPen Marks, AP Quints, MR glyphs, Armor Seals (I prefer the scaling armor and MR).

Starting items: Dorans ring, two mana pots.

Start W. It procs Yauso's shield and it is next to impossible for him to avoid it, so his shield will almost always be down against you. After your W procs his shield, basic him once or twice since he can't avoid it and his shield won't help him. After a few minion waves you can probably take 1/3-1/2 of his health if he's dumb. If he is at half health and dashes to your minions, a Q-W-AA-AA-Ignite will kill him, but it can be hard to hit and I usually save ignite for 6.

You should use at most 1 W per wave to manage your mana. Do NOT use Q unless you're going for a kill - it uses a lot of mana and he will likely dash to avoid it. It's also your escape when you're ganked, so use it sparingly.

Skill order early game: W - Q - W - E

Once you hit six, you can 100-0 him. Do not start with your Q. Just ult him, shield so he can't respond, and when your second proc stuns him, then Q, W, and ignite for the kill. If he drops wind wall just walk around it and Q him then.

Item build:

First Item: Luden's Echo. The passive will proc his shield and harass him at the same time so over time you'll chunk his health even if you don't harass him with AA or Qs. The movement speed buff is also helpful with following him and getting away from him.

Next item: Build MPen Boots, then haunting Guise. Your Q now takes over 50% of his health. After you finish building Liandry's torment, I like to build a Void staff. At that point you can two-shot Q-W a lot of Yasuos who don't build MR (and many don't)

The combo doesn't change. R-Q-W (E when appropriate). Note that this build order doesn't let you be the hard engage ult-hourglass that people expect you to be, but with the mpen you'll be a poke monster that can 100-0 squishy ADCs without ever getting near them, and you can always build an hourglass later if you want one.

Gank bot and top when appropriate, and you'll make him extremely frustrated during laning phase. Play a game of stay away from me, kite him with AA when he chases you, and watch his dashes to minions (if he's dumb enough to dash to all of them he has greatly reduced escape.

Notes:

A lot of yasuo's are super overconfident and will ult you under your turret. Q him as soon as the ult finishes and you can stand back and watch your turret kill him for you.

A lot of teams will support their yasuo a lot since everyone knows that if he doesn't get fed he's squishy, so make sure you ward a lot and watch for ganks.

TL;DR: Counterpick him.
