Zac's new ult

Zac's new ult is just not fun, not for zac, not for the enemy and not for the team, let me tell you why.

Why it is not fun for zac: He can only bounce once. The draw of his old ultimate is being able to bounce several times and being able to knock up people who weren't close to you at the start of the ult. Though the ability might seem kinda boring on paper, bouncing around is SO MUCH FUN. It synergises well with his kit, i.e. with the extra blobs you drop you can charge your W faster to get more blobs to heal more, to stay longer in the fight to cc more etc etc. The new ult is incredibly easy to dodge for the enemy and thus feels unimpactful since you only ever get 1-2, maybe 3 enemies if they're stupid, whereas his old ult had the potential to hit the entire enemy team if used right. Old ult = Turn into a mobile, floppy and bouncy god with nice sustain and cc New ult = Turn into a gooey pancake with a displacement ability

Why it is not fun for the enemy: With the new cc on Zac's Q, he is more likely to burn an enemy's flash (or other summs) in a gank, due to him now being harder to get away from. Imagine playing top and suddenly a weaponized flubber flies in, knocks you up and pulls you back, but you manage to escape with the skin of your teeth. You try to recall under tower only for the green machine to E back to try and dive you. You manage do dodge the Q and get a stun off, but wait, your stun didnt work, because he's a pancake now. He emerges, taking you with him into the enemy toplaner even though you did everything necessary to escape a gank from the old zac.

Why it is not fun for the team: If an ability can be abused to troll the team, it will. If a zac player decides he doesn't care about winning and decides to troll, he can ult the tanks into the team's carries, he can help transport enemies, he can basically just make your life as a teammate hell. We saw this with ryze, we saw this with bard, why make more abilities with this potential?

Overall: It's just not a good change man. The new ult just doesn't fit well with his kit and it feels clunky and awkward to use compared to the fluidity and mobility of his old ult

I'm not quite sure how i feel about the new ult, but I do think it will be an interesting peel ability. The initiation from his ult doesn't seem like it will be as good, which is probably a good thing considering how unpleasant current state Zac can be for mid lane - where there are TONS of gank paths for him, his E is really his only cc now (I can't recall if his q only procs a stun with 2 champions or can be anything).

I think you have some wires crossed somewhere. Zac's new ult is there because it tones down some of his ability to kill you when he ganks you - your complaint that his new ult offers no escape is kind of trite when his old ult could allow you to chase enemies down with ease and CC them for days. His new ult actually makes him a little more immoblile once he gets in the fight, and it grants him the ability to move an enemy for a very long distance, longer than even Kench, and almost as long as Blitz.

Your complaints about his abuse on the team are also tired and overused - they were overused CONSTANTLY when Kench was revealed and Bard was revealed, because they also have high trolling potential. The thing is, people rarely troll with these characters, and I don't see anyone trolling with Zac that often.

i remember reading from rioter that if you dont charge his new ult it still does what it does now, can anyone confirm? not sure if it's just one bounce if he does that, as opposed to his 3 now though

New Q is amazeballs fun, new ult is boring and (Initial Impressions from 6 or 7 games) seems bad gameplay wise as well, maybe if you could move while channeling at a reduced speed or something it'd be solid gameplay wise, but it'd still not be as crazy fun as his old ult. With his New Q and Old Ult he'd be fucking perfect. This new ult really puts a damper on things considering it's supposed to be, ya know, an ult. It's insanely boring to use compared to the old one, and doesn't feel nearly as impactful considering with the charge time, and the small radius, only people CC'd by others will get caught in it unless they are rather bad players.
