Hey guys,
I was wondering what the strongest AP top laners are at the moment. I've mastered Rumble 
and Ekko
and I'm looking for a new champ to pick up. I'm thinking maybe Swain
, Lissandra
, or Vladimir

shyv2 votesnp, if you like swain / rumble i think you would probably like vlad kennen and ryze, they're all kinda tanky and annoying to lane against. though with all 3 of those champs be careful of irelia lol she'll fuck you up

TheThundersRoar1 votesDoesn't take a Faker to play him. Just build a tear > boots 1 > RoA > boots 2 > FH (if enemy AD). Muramana at 750 is surprisingly good on Ryze (single target spells). AA staff also works.
Charge up 4 stacks, then combo. Q W Q E Q W Q E .... Throw in an R if you need it.
Frikgeek1 votesThat combo is sub-optimal and will get you killed if you try to sprint into passive from 1 stack. Always start your passive combo with W or R, starting it with Q or E will make you stall out if all your spells were on CD before you got into passive. A good tactic is to stay at 1 stack with all spells up then QE creeps R to get the movespeed to catch up with your enemy and W to start the combo. After that you just repeat WQEQ.
Never buy Muramana over AA staff and just don't get FH. Muramana might seem good but it does physical damage and it will actually give you less damage than the ~160 AP you get from Seraph's. FH is not worth it as you're wasting 10% CDR and the mana doesn't give you that much damage. You're better off running 10% CDR at 18 in your runes and getting a Zhonya's since you can use your passive, Q, Zhonya, then QERW to start another passive immediately. Your Q will have a 2.2s CD lategame so you're guaranteed a double passive with Zhonya's 2.5s stasis.

Princess Emma2 votesOne thing that all 3 of those champions share is their abysmal win rates, so don't worry too much about that.
The nerf on Swain's root hit him pretty hard, and you will have to deal with his mana issues and abysmal auto attack animation as well, but he is still a pain to deal with either way to other laners. The longer the game goes; the more of an unstoppable killing machine he will be. Ev
Is able to perform well, but she has fallen out of favor as of late, but scales exceptionally well as time goes on, since her cool downs get much much shorter.
Win rates for all of them are the same, but I would say Vlad is much more ''in'' right now you could say. It is important that you farm well and play safely in the lane phase though.
I can't give suggestions on others you could try, but I can tell you how they match up.

Princess Emma2 votesI have nothing against Singed, but many people find his game play linear and boring. He has simple mechanics, but only those who truly play Singed because they love him are the ones that perform exceptionally well and now every single trick he can do, not only the simple ones. Someone new to Singed, I would say, wont perform bad though
also has some...''oddball'' tactics he can go with such as Proxy Singed.
Is my personal choice since he can fill the role of the middle lane and jungle as well.
He brings more utility that benefits the whole team. An AoE knock up that has a high AP ratio and a slow, but somewhat easy to dodge. Along with an AoE silence with a pretty high ratio as well. His passive makes his sustain pretty good as well. Although he is a tad immobile and has his cons.
I would look up maybe a video or two on how they play though, especially since he has multiple ''play styles'' you can go with, and he can be much much more annoying than Cho'gath.

Alistar does work. He can be super annoying to any Nasus players, Riven players and Darius players. More of a nuisance than anything really.
Swain can be a real tough bully in lane.
Cho'gath can transform into a complete end game monster.
Graham is mobile, tanky, has finesse, decent long range damage, zoning and is incredibly disruptive in a team fight.

Akali is still good, if you go sunfire into abyssal and hextech gunblade
You can build Rod of Ages on Tahm Kench top lane
Swain is still maybe good, haven't touched him since the nerf
Cho Gath can be built AP or tank, but he is annoying either way
