somehow people can turn poppy into an unkillable machine and I can't seem to grasp her kit at all.
Illoai gets a free pass because we still need free win buttons or else there wouldn't be money- oh i mean diversity in our roster.
really? illaoi is not a free win in any way and most people just go ham on a full tank illaoi and wonder why they die when she gets 7 tentacles setup in a zone with her ult
at level 18, each tentacle does 1.6x her AD + base damage....if we say that base is 200(not sure of the actual amount), that means that each tentacle that hits does a minimum of 440 damage so if you multiply that by 7 (which can happen but likely won't), that total comes to 3020 and that's without her Q adding another 440 and her W and E for another 6040
the problem being, however...that most people think that because they are getting stronger builds that they can recklessly engage upon illaoi
even if she only has 1 tentacle, her potential burst damage can come to 1000 per few seconds(edit: I forgot the E bonus damage potential so you can increase your damage by 50% if you hit both the enemy and the spirit)
at least this is better than champions who can rush in without consequence (darius, ekko, zed, diana, nasus (I dueled a nasus with illaoi, it was fun XD he was like "why...won't...she...die!" when he decided to fight her in her ultimate in an area she had setup tentacles XD
I actually like illaoi...she plays a bit like 4/5 roles but does not do well in any of them other than her sustain. She is a juggernaut after all, so it's only natural that how to fight her is to not play to her advantage
this brings up other issues however that there are multiple champions in the game who have kits requiring the opponent to play a champion differently than it is designed in order to function
