Can we re-calibrate zeds W jumping?

It's really annoying when you jump shadows on zed, yet somehow the enemy follows you when they are initiating a "blink to" ability. For example Yasuos Q, I Jump shadows, he hits me where I previously was, and is able to ult me where I jumped to...That makes no sense..
