League of Legends Standard Operating Procedures (LOLSOP)
League of Legends Standard Operating Procedures (LOLSOP)
TRADING • If enemy suddenly changes their laning stance from Defensive/Passive to Offensive/Aggressive, BACK OFF! High probability that the enemy Jungler is awaiting a window to gank the lane.
• If the enemy begins taunting or recalling in mid-lane or right by their tower (still in your poke range) BACK OFF! High probability that the enemy Jungler is awaiting a window to gank the lane.
• If you find yourself unable to trade what-so-ever (Pantheon vs. Teemo) Just stay by your turret, or away from the poking range, and ask for help from your jungler, CS where its SAFE to do so, For pantheon if you are only trying to safe farm, go B and grab a Dorans ring and just throw spears to CS, you can sell the ring later on. Just farm safe and await help!
• If you are able to trade confidently and overpower your lane take note from point 4! WARD YOUR BUSHES! Always be watching for the jungler because if you are overpowering your enemy and are pushed up in lane you can bet that the enemy jungler is going to see this and take advantage of you being so far from your tower, also refer to note 1 with your opponent changing fighting style, If the Pantheon suddenly starts running inbetween minions to get a jump stun on you, you better get out of there, don’t try to fight him!
WARDING • ALWAYS WARD
• MID LANE : it is often hard to keep both bushes warded. To solve this simply ward only 1 side of the river and play on that side (Ward Bot bush and play on the bottom side of your lane) This gives you vision of what is closest to you, and if the jungler does come out of the top bush then you have atleast a little more time to react to that. (1 Red in the River bush, 1 Yellow in your lane bush, for maximum coverage) HOWEVER. If the enemy is able to gank over walls (
etc) Be sure to watch your walls.
•_ TOP LANE_ : If you are on the red team (top of map) you want to make sure that your River bush is warded if you are in the middle of the lane, and ALWAYS keep a red ward in the bush closest to your turret (near the jungle) If you are on the Blue team (bottom of the map) you want to of course keep the river bush warded as well, as far as your jungle bush goes, you dont REALLY have to worry about it unless you are close to your turret, low on hp, and if the enemy jungler is someone like

Who can jump the wall and engage on you. Though it is still a good idea to keep a red ward in that bush, placing a red in the river will only eventually get it killed.
•BOT LANE : Same as the other lanes, Keep your river bush warded, and always have a red in your jungle bush. The warding roles for bot can be divided between the 2 of you, the ADC can ward the lanes bushes if needed, and the support can worry about extra warding (River, deep wards) with their
Sightstone. The support should ONLY do any deep warding when you have your lane pushed up, NEVER if the lane is reset or pushed to your turret. Also If the enemy support is knowingly sitting in a lane bush DO NOT GO TO WARD THE BUSH!!! You know he is in there, and getting close will only force a fight and get you CC'd.
•JUNGLER : Your role for warding is equally as important, while the other lanes have their wards up, make sure to keep up with the scuttle crab to assist your lanes in being able to spot jungler movement and assist you in quicker movement to lanes with scuttle speed boost. If Mid lane has bottom bush warded, help them by warding the top one also and placing a red ward in the opposite river bush that they have warded. Alternatively you may run
your oracle lense and be a ward clearer, both are viable options for the jungler. You should always keep wards on Important objectives such as dragon and baron.
ROAMING • In the event that your enemy laner begins to roam by exiting the lane, make note of the direction they are heading and Ping the nearest lane to you by placing a (!) Ping on their bush followed by a (?) ping. After doing so, kill off the waves ranged minions if they are still alive, then proceed to followup your enemy into the lane. (Killing the ranged minions will negate the waves damage allowing your lane to continue pushing while you’re away)
• Do not roam if your lane is pushed up to your turret, this will allow your lane to be pushed up and your turret will take damage, follow step 2 and clear the ranged minions first, or kill the enemy laner prior to roaming.
•If you see your jungler is being invaded and is fighting in his jungle you should immediately exit your lane to assist your jungler in the fight. Going into your jungle is not very far and you can quickly get back to lane, this will possibly score you a kill or assist, and make your jungler happy. They'll no doubt be salty with you if you saw them struggling and did not help.
• Deciding when to roam is also based on your champion, you have to be able to judge your window time of when your enemy will return to lane, and compare that to your champions ability to move quickly. For example a
will have a MUCH larger window of time to roam due to her (R) move speed, compared to a
. For slower moving champions your best bet would be to Kill your opponent or force them to Back(B) then proceed to roam after you have cleared the enemies ranged minions.
• Do not roam to your allies lane if the enemies in that lane are: (A) Extremely fed, (B) Pushed up against their turret and still high on HP or (C) If your allies blatantly tell you not to gank (They're too low on HP or mana, or they have knowledge that you dont such as enemies damage output)
OBJECTIVES • Obtaining objectives is a very timely thing and must be done at the right times. Your Objectives are: (A) Turrets (B) Inhibitors (C) Nexus (D) Dragon (E) Baron (F) Jungle buff camps
• The appropriate time to clear objective (A) Is when the enemy is the lane is dead, either after a successful trade, or after a successful gank. A junglers focus should be to the the bottom lanes objective FIRST and here's why: ((After a successful gank bot, you should have killed both laners (scoring 2 kill or 2 assists) After doing that you now have 3 people to take down a turret instead of 2 people which you would have ganking other lanes. Making it faster to take down bottom lanes turret and allowing them to push the enemy team back farther. Followed by Mid lane and then top lane. Bottom up objective clearing has proven to be the most efficient form of clearing.
• The appropriate time to clear objective (B) Is when the enemy team is pre-occupied in another region of the map, or if their heavy hitters are dead. Deciding who should clear the objective (B) should depend on their damage output and attack speed. Early game inhibitors will take a bit more time to take down, so you dont want someone like
Trying to kill the inhibitor early game, You would want someone who is able to escape while dealing damage
etc. But you never really want to try to take an inhibitor alone if there are enemies present, late game when you are pushing as a team inhibitors will easily be captured.
• The appropriate time to clear objective (C) Is of course whenever possible! This is your ultimate goal, the end of the game objective. HOWEVER this doesnt mean suicide run to the nexus. The best time to clear it would be if the entire enemy team is dead, or if they are pre-occupied away from base (Trying to take baron, Trying to take dragon, Pushing one of your Turrets/Inhibitors. Assuming that someone on your team has
It is a good Idea to drop a ward near the nexus after you have cleared out the Nexus turrets. This will allow your teammate to teleport to the nexus once the enemy is away and secure a victory. If the enemy team is Pushing to your nexus (They're already passed the inhibitor) DO NOT Try to teleport to their nexus and race them, this is a crucial moment where you must defend with your team and kill them, If you kill them off then you can safely teleport to their nexus and finish the job.
•The appropriate time to clear objective (D) Is usually once the Enemy jungler is dead, or if the enemy bot lane is dead. this will allow your bot lane to join you in taking the dragon. If the enemy jungler is dead it is your bot lanes responsibility to peel for your jungler in the event that the enemy joins in on the fight. Remember that your Jungler holds the Key of being able to strike the Objective with an Instant (1000 dmg
) so it is key to protect them to secure the objective. Dragon should not be attempted if your jungler is dead (unless you are able to hit it over the wall and attempt a steal) Or if the enemy bot lane is pushed up against your tower. The Elder dragon does not spawn until after the 35min mark, this is a very important objective, DONT LOSE IT!
•The appropriate time to clear objective (E) is another very time sensitive objective. Baron Nashor is a team effort to kill, requiring a bit of time to kill and he also deals a lot of damage to multiple people. Securing objective (E) should be a late game objective, and only done when the enemy team is dead. Unless you are purposely trying to force a teamfight you should ONLY Attempt objective (E) when the enemy team is dead, OR if you have 2 or more inhibitors destroyed WITH the lanes pushed up. If all of your lanes are pushed against you, and all the enemy inhibitors are pushed up, and the enemy is alive this is a VERY BAD TIME to attempt this objective. If you see the enemy team attempting baron you should absolutely attempt to interrupt their baron fight ONLY if you have 3+ people attempting to stop it, 2+ people is a very risky move.
•The appropriate time to clear objective (F) is always, especially if its your own jungle..Early game you definitely want to leave objective (F) to your jungler, this is their only source of definite income, aside from assists and kills ganking. Clearing the enemies jungle camps should be done after a successful inhibitor take down, if there is no time to do anything else.
