Vaynes W still offers no counterplay in 2016

We just need some item that can reduce true damage in some way. Normally health is the counter to true damage. But since she scales with this. It difficult to create counterplay when it hasn't that weakness. So basicly we would need some kind of armor/shield item if you want to counter it compleelty.

Easy; murder her dead. Make early game hell for her (her laning phase is abysmal). And she won't be able to dish out damage

lmao easier said than done, once the game hits 20 mins and has at least 2 items she just chunks for no reason other than to fuck the entire enemy team

Not everything can be counterbuilt, dodged, or otherwise avoided. It's not something worth complaining about.

Actually... Want to beat Vayne? Beat her in the early game, because post 30min it's her game.

well the only thing that can't be counterbuild is %health true damage which vayne and fiora got. the thing about fiora is that it has a certain time limit and you can limit her from proccing it and shes melee. also it scales with ad. however vayne you have no control other killing vayne. and all she needs is attack speed

Er... she does need some AD, her silver bolts don't do all of her damage. And there's other ways of beating her, generally abusing superior range (Corki and Tristana seem to do fine against her). It's also possible to delay her silver bolts by forcing her to switch targets, since silver bolts can't stack on multiple targets.

A long range mage, such as Xerath, could bombard her since she can't extend past her aa range like several ADC's, and the list goes on.

There are options.

buff thornmail. botrk gives enough lifesteal to negate thornmail damage. I had a vayne once kill me as rammus. she did about 1.5k true damage with my W up. and i had thornmail and about 250-300 armor with the ninja tabis and randuins literally the best build possible and she outsustained it. kinda discouraging. I ban vayne sometimes because its very hard to counterplay a vayne with a team that peels for her. but honestly shes much less of a problem that twitch right now that kills your whole team in the time it takes vayne to kill the tank. shes more single target. the problem is that even with pinks. its really hard to keep tabs on her when she can 3 shot you late game especially when u dont have a slot. she can easily tumble away from the pinks range.
