I've been looking at the Vayne nerfs and as cool as they are and all let this be known that riot let this happen, let me explain.

Vayne had been doing Vayne stuff way before she became a meta-solo Queue pick. So why did she suddenly appear on peoples radar?

>Castor carries took a nerf when runes came out >Her main hard counters are in the shitter right now cause riot balances to bandage the problem right then and there instead of molding counters to help "fix" the problems of the then meta champs >Crit items cheap as fuck but specifically item 3031 being reduced in gold needed.

At this rate the way Balancing is going there will be no need for an ADC since people complain that

>Armor pen=too strong >Crit items=too strong >on hit=too strong

Pointless ranting I guess but just some insight to what I notice before Vayne keeps getting the nerf hammer to the point where she's Caitlyn/Lucian levels of being in the gutter.

You aren't entirely wrong but even if they were strong she would be still. The change to her ult that extends it is what really made her a little overpowered. Also you cannot forget the relic shield overheal meta. That is also playing a huge hand in it. I agree with the nerfs she is getting and the relic shield overheal combo is going to be gone. I don't know if its enough but I think it will put her in line with everyone else.

Well technically that's how vayne, twitch, trist, etc are supposed to be. Their lane phases are supposed to be shit. Their job is to scale. Right now though because of relic and overheal those late game carries ignore the lane phase completely now which is supposed to be their weakest phase. Also during the ardent meta the Vayne changes weren't in game. They didn't show up til I think 7.19 I might wrong though maybe ardent was still there then. Still its mostly the new runes combined with the buffs combined with the relic shield that has her overpowered currently. She is deserving of a nerf.
