20 minutes in queue because people don't accept the queue check, dodge or don't pick/ban

Why is this still being looked over? A great fix would be to pause champion select, replace that player with someone who is in queue for that position, and reset the pick/ban timer to 1 minute which would give them enough time to ban or pick. I'm in queues that last 8-13 minutes on a normal basis because people dodge or don't pick. Then someone doesn't accept the recurring queue check, and thus I have to wait WAY longer than I should. It frustrates me going through this 3 times a queue.

I've never understood why Riot didn't impliment exactly what you said Jinsai. It makes no sense to boot the other 9 players back in queue for another X amount of minutes because someone didn't pick/ban/etc... I completely agree with the "pause and reset timers/picks/bans"

I think the main reason they don't do it is because if champ select was half over, someone would be like "I don't wanna fight their third pick, he picked Ahri" and then they'll just ban Ahri when it starts up again.

What if they are building a comp around a specific person, or with a certain position being a certain role (jungle is tank, so top will go damage) and that person leaves (the tank jungle or whatever the comp was built around, like a particular hypercarry adc leaves) and the new person doesn't play tanks/whatever the comp was built around, or their champion of choice is banned by their own team because they couldn't communicate that? Or what if someone dodged because they didn't want to play against the Zed which wasn't banned, so you just throw someone new in to deal with it instead?

There are many other reasons why this just doesn't make sense.

However, I commonly have 10-20 minute queue times (before a game even pops) so it's not like I'm against having shorter queue times. This just isn't the way to go about it.

Just pick support/fill/jungle :^) and you'll never have to worry about this again.
