Irelia's State

Irelia's state of viability in League of Legends is totally dependent on the meta around her rather than influences done directly to the champion. This is evident in the distinct lack of balancing changes done on Irelia which is about 1/3 as many balancing changes than every other champion in this game, but has seen drastic fluctuations in power. There are times where her core item, triforce, is extremely powerful, well prices, and in general a potent item, and in times such as these, Irelia will tend to be far more powerful depending on whether tanks are popular in the meta. There have been two times in recent when Irelia has been at her peak of power, these times were when guinsoo's rageblade was updated to have the cleaver passive after achieving 6 stacks on the item, and when triforce was reworked into having stinger as the third component of the item instead of zeal. Regardless of the fact that she was at her peak potential at these times, she has only once and very briefly been as hot as times when Yasuo was broken, or someone of that sort. Soon after, Riot made the decision to heavily increase the cool down on her ultimate which has come to be extremely burdensome and very uncharacteristic of the play style she fits into which is a midgame bruiser. Riot has made similar decisions to other early/midgame champions which totally defeat the purpose the serve which is to try and play a match before late game champions and tanks take over the game. As it is at the moment, tank champions are at very disadvantage to their early/midgame counterparts which has started to make the game become rather stale. I've had countless games where a Galio with no damage items 2v1's the champions on the enemy team with no handicaps placed prior on their opponent. Simply by being an oppressively designed champion like many of the current tank champions that are capable of dismantling teams that make the "mistake" of choosing former midgame powerhouses that have become completely ineffectual as tanks are no longer at as much of a disadvantage of their opponents having their ultimates up sooner and can completely withstand, and in some cases be the powerhouses THEMSELVES midgame. Riot has made similar decisions in other cases with other champions, nerfing the champions themselves when an item is strong, or when the meta is in their favor, and when their items become outclassed in upcoming patches and/or the meta begins to shift, the champion becomes totally ineffectual and are left in the trash can. To remedy this, I URGE riot to make a list of the "OP" champions they nerf in a patch and whenever newer patches come out, the list serves as an urgent reminder of whether the new new changes will continue to negatively effect a champion, and if so, undo or relieve nerfs previously made.

You might try putting blank lines in your posts sometimes so it is not a wall of text.

But I find myself playing far less Irelia than I use to because there is not a whole lot I can do to get an advantage against many of the more popular to lane champs these days.

I think we better nerf irelia.. But in srs i think irelia could use something to make her a bit better.

Irelia is such an awquard champion I think just needs a rework on all her abilities but the ult [i think the ult is pretty neat]. Shes got the mobility and lethality of an assassin but the hp and armor of a tank. Very strange.
