I wish league was easier for new players to get into

Updating the tutorial for league was a good start but i still wish there were some other things changed for new players to have a better experience learning the game. for example new players cant choose their own runes which can often lead to them losing lane and not having a good time cause they don't have what they need in lane. they also don't have all summoner spells which i really don't get. but one of my biggest complaints about it is how they have to go through blind pick which can be pretty bad when you get your role stolen or called before you can get it. a new player probably wont have a good time getting into a blind having their role stolen and then not even being able to chose their full runes. i just hope at the very least riot will make customization runes available from lvl 3.

Yeah, but I think they intend for you to stick mostly to bots early on since you get normal experience from bots until level 30. I was to scared to even attempt PvP until I was level 35+ and still won't solo queue PvP. I've been playing for about 5 months now. I laugh though because I play so much that I've surpassed my friend whose been playing for years in level.

I will never tell a single friend of mine I actually value to play this game. It isn't Riot's fault. It's the community's.

how is giving everyone a whole bunch of things that they have no idea what they even do even going to help new players into the game? specially when they don't really know how to play the game at a basic lvl? You then want them to know what runes are, which ones are the best, what each summoner spell does and which is the best for each situation, know the basics of laning, the basics of jungling, the basics of teamfighting among the more intricate aspects of each of those things and that is not even touching champions and matchups.

There is a reason why games don't just unlock everything from the get go. That is called game design 101

As a new player to League of Legends can I chime in a bit and talk about one of the real biggest struggles: a lack of easy to access information. So I'm not necessarily new to the MOBA genre as I have played Heroes of the Storm since open beta and I've reached plat and diamond in the latter before, but with this game there is such a mountain of information its difficult to process a lot of the time. While HoTS has less characters, its easier to gain access to that information, additionally the information is easier to decipher mid game as well. For example Abathur, one of the weirdest heroes I've come across, has a fairly telegraphed kit. I see a head over another character and spells start shooting out. From this I can tell that they are being buffed by another hero. Bug minions coming out with a similar design only in one lane, Abathur is probably near by. In League on the other hand I'm finding difficult understanding what abilities do what. The two biggest heroes that come to mind is Aatrox and Zoe. Maybe because they are newer they have a more overloaded kit, but honestly I'm still confused by it. It felt like playing against Aatrox that he had 7 spells and two passives and then randomly dashed around without it looking like an ability. Zoe seems to completely go against the game design. In the tutorial I was taught summoner spells are powerful and have a long cooldown, but with Zoe I see her using them all the time randomly. Maybe I'm just new and bad at this game, but as a new player I genuinely feel drowned in the learning curve to understand what all the heroes do and how to counter them effectively.
