We're going to be doing some pretty substantial changes to turrets in preseason. I don't necessarily want to get into specifics at the moment since we're not fully locked on the direction, but generally we're looking to push back how early turrets can fall in games quite a bit while also adding in some mechanics that ensure champs/players that are able to get pressure on turrets early are still rewarded for doing so.
Chill, Riot says their slowing down after the mess they made this season. Let things settle to see what's worth keeping, reverting or changing.

Tbh I wish they would just give bot tower the same 10 min protection that mid and top have.
maybe, next season, expect a few more nerfs before hand.
At the current state of League, adding buffs to turrets is just a band-aid solution and will not fix the issues with the game. The gameplay is still going to be shit. The pacing is still going to be shit. Season 8 is still going to be shit.
It would be good to remove gold from riverside towers. They are opening the map, that should be enough reward. They could add some temporary buff as well.
No one likes this idea but I like to throw it out there anyway.
My preferred buff to Towers is to make the first hit from a tower on a champion root them in place for .25 seconds.
This forces mobility spammer champions to have to consider a window of forced vulnerability when diving, rather than letting them just swoop in nuke and run out while avoiding any meaningful retaliation from the tower.
I don't ask for towers to be some impassable bulwark for the champions hiding under them, but I DO ask that they at least force divers to be mindful and cautious about diving instead of this zoom-zoom BIG PLAYS crap where they avoid all the risks that diving owers is supposed to carry with it.
They're doing it in pre-season so I guess we have to wait it out :(
