The League Obituary: Veigar, the Tiny Master of Evil

We all knew it was coming. With the DFG removal slapping almost every Mage on the champion roster, the savage predator known as the Riot Balance Team had it out for the poor, strange little man.

Veigar was considered to lack counter play in the eyes of the Balance Team, which is half true. Once inside the stun field, there were very few ways to escape, BUT, with mobility creep, you probably would never get stunned in the first place! Personally, I believe Veig's nerfs are kind of solid. His ultimate needed to be toned down, but it still nukes everything it hits. The whole "HIS Q IS A SKILLSHOT" thing is fine too. Sadly, the Balance Team went to far. They added an extremely long cast time to Veigar's stun, which is his only defense. The poor Mage is now dead and damned from play. He will be missed.
