I always hate picking a lane as Riven and getting Zyra. Well I hate Zyra in general cause no matter who you choose, 9/10 times you end up feeding her. She tore my Riven apart not only from the start, but pretty much every time I continue to encounter her. While I last a good 10 or so seconds against other champs, even with 90 some odd magic resist, and 1900 bonus health from items, she tore me down in 2 seconds without even touching an ult. Riven's shield is completely useless short of using it as a flash now.

What adds to the frustration? When players at the end insist you suck because they refused to do a simple lane switch and you come out with 10 deaths and only 1 kill because no one else dared to visit the lane to help.

I'm not claiming to be master fu, I just got Riven a couple of weeks ago and still stick to AI games. But really, don't open your mouths and run off with insults when I'm absolutely certain Zyra needs a dmg nerf :P

Be more aggressive early game. She is a leaf, step on her and she dies.

Dude. The only way she's going to be able to do much to you is if she lands the snare, and your E is on a much shorter cooldown than her snare. Dodge it.

How dare you say Zyra needs nerfs while playing Riven. Should be banned on sight for that.

I mean you just said that you play a lot of bot games so you really have no credibility whatsoever. Riven absolutely destroys Zyra in every possible way. I'm not saying Riven is OP or Zyra is UP, but the matchup extremely heavily favors Riven.

well honestly if a zyra plays her ult right she can easily kill a riven with decent AP.

Sounds like you didn't play safe enough. Yes as Riven you should be bullying early game. But that doesn't mean you're always going to get to do it. Just last hit under turret. Let her take the turret down if you must. That way the lane can be pushed to where you can farm safer. As she'd have to go into your side of the map to CS further, which opens her to easy ganking.

A lot of playing Riven is also about juking. Using one ability to bait a spell(her CC) then using another to get around it and go in for the kill(she is squishy).

Zyra's scaling and base damages are not the best and overall require her plants to get some hits in.

So please, don't open your mouth and run of with insults because you faced someone who played a champion they knew when you're playing a champion you're still learning, and one with a sizeable learning curve.

And before any one comes in and talk about how Zyra needs buffs because she's not in the meta and her last round of nerfs gutted her. Please go look at them again. Only bad nerf she got was losing the stun at the end of her R. She's barely changed mid lane and bot lane's meta changed, and she doesn't work well in it.

If you had 1900 bonus health from items (and somehow only 90 mr) you're just straight up playing Riven wrong. The most bonus health I've ever gotten from items on her is 200 from a cleaver, and I've never been beat down by a Zyra. Also her shield scales off ad, if you were building tanky (as it sounds like you were) it's not gonna be that big of a shield.
