your matchmaking is the worst ive ever experienced. every time i am in promo, i am matched with awesome teammates, good people, and on my 3rd game, i get flamers, disconnecters, feeders. and once i am out, i lose multiple games after that until im further down the ladder. excuse my language, but is this a fcking joke? i know many of my friend who longer play this game, and warned me of this, and i am now seeing it in full light. please, what is your explanation for this? and how am i to ever rank up and enjoy playing this game? you really need to learn to fix your matchmaking. i was banned for bad behavior, but have since improved it, and i continue to see negative results. please, start charging $5 a month i dont give a fck you need to fix this though, your game is sh*t now.

I dunno if there's something that messes with the matchmaking or it's some kind of placebo effect, but every time I've EVER been in a promo, be it a win or a lose, the quality of my times is significantly worse. I distinctly remember a gold to platinum promo I had last season where in the first game of the five, all three lanes had died before I got to my second buff. How do you do that? How is that feasibly possible?

Sometimes you lose, sometimes it's in your promo matches. Think of all the other times you've had terrible games where all of your lanes just lost pre-10 minutes.

You're going to have those matches every so often, sometimes they're going to land on a promo match. People tend to think of their promo matches as a separate set of matches that aren't related to the rest, so they end up thinking the losses are completely unlike any other loss and that the system is picking on them.

Human psychology at work.

I can't even be assed to reply to this one

The system isn't intentionally screwing you, humans like to find patterns where there are none. See : Confirmation bias & The Dunning-Kruger effect

They do in fact have special matchmaking during promos. They intentionally make it harder to see if you "deserve" your new spot.

You act as if it Riot's fault that you are placed with who you are. Feeders, flamers, etc all had your mmr or something close to it. They are all labeled as at your skill level. A. You caught one on a bad day. B. You stumbled upon someone who got wrecked in lane and judging by your attitude here you were probably toxic to them and refused to help them or give them advice. C. Someone had computer/internet issues and was forced to DC or you made them mad enough to rage quit because you're more edgy in your series. Do you have a better plan on matching people together? If so, let's hear it. Otherwise, shut up. Thanks :)

People that make posts like OP always conveniently forget about all of the matches they've won where their lanes stomped hard for no reason, or the other team had a DC, or the other team had a rager/feeder, or the other team had a terrible non-meta comp.

It's just people that can't/don't understand that they're going to occasionally get the short end of the stick and it's their job to handle it better than other people in their division if they want to climb

Like if I get a DC or someone who feeds and rages. I get annoyed at them for doing so, but I only get annoyed at them. I've never once cursed Riot or thought that it was their fault for matching me with them. That's just logical.

Maybe Riot should bring back the elo and show it on the loading screen. But yeah i had games like what the op describes and it's quite annoying.Once i got a Thresh dc at the start and had to solo bot vs a Lucian and Janna. Was hard but we hold our own and won.Thresh recconected like 30 minutes later or something.I think he went to grab a bite and comeback.Jinx

See? So it happens from time to time, people come back, people calm down, people play smarter and learn. It's not always "hell and high water". I'm not sure how showing ELO on the loading really fixes anything. Explainerino?
