A Plea for a Re-Examination of End-Game Statistics Reporting

It seems to me that this useful record-keeping system hasn't been paid much attention in the past 2 years...

A few points:

  1. It can be observed that the end-game numbers for certain Runes like Guardian and Font of Life exceed the totals for Ally Shielding and Ally Healing on the Statistics page. I conclude that all or some of the impact of these Runes was never worked to apply to the Statistics Page numbers. Please fix this.

  2. Ally Healing and Ally Shielding and Vision Score, being relatively new additions to that page, are not retained in the Statistics in Match History. (Ally Healing and Shielding is lost in client Match History, and all of these are lost in Web Site Match History.) Please fix this.

  3. New Runes Statistics and Build is not recorded in Web Site Match History Build and Statistics. (However, when "Runes Reforged" was first implemented, they were recorded and this can still be seen in Match History from that period.) Please fix this.

  4. Last year, Celerity end-game statistics reported the maximum stats gained by the rune in game. It now offers "distance traveled", not immediately meaningful. Please change to report the maximum MS gained from the rune.

  5. Many items report their own statistics in-game. Please retain these statistics. On the Overview tab, end-game, a full item description is offerred. Please change the tooltip to include below the item statistics as of game end (Deaths Defied, Turret Damage, Bonus Gold etc.); it would also be useful to tally number of item activations for item actives (Righteous Glory, Bilgewater Cutlass, etc).

  6. IN-GAME tooltip for Phase Rush - please display when the Rune has been activated, number of activations. A counter that showed number of stacks to activate would also be useful. Phase Rush has the worst tooltip of any Rune.

  7. Grasp of the Undying: Please record the number of activations in the end-game statistics.

  8. VS team tab info in-game has changed, unmentioned elsewhere. Previously, it showed the actual Vision Score. It now seems to show wards dropped, or some smaller calculation. Please revert.

  9. Specific Champion statistics such as are available in game (stacks, for example) should also be available in post-game. In general, we would like full personal statistics (armor, AD, health etc) at end-game to be available post-game. The game time when certain milestones were reached, like maximum stacks on a capped mechanic, should also be recorded. (I realize that this information might be gleaned post-game by reviewing the actual match, but this is sometimes tedious. Furthermore, if the game wasn't downloaded or recorded, then it's impossible.)

  10. Please extend the retention to down-load matches to more than 20. Please also make these available from Web Site (Full Match History) view.

If this request would be better posted elsewhere, then please advise.

nice post. Would be amazed if riot implements 1/3rd of these though xD

Guardian could exceed ally shielding because of the self shield maybe?

I also have another question, If someone has guardian+revitalise for example, and it procs for a 100 total shield on user and ally, does the extra amount of shield from revitalise get counted on revitalise only, or on both and the number is inflated?

I'll add that, logically, - I can't think of a good reason for the Rune Stats page to only show personal stats. There's plenty of space on the page; let it show rune performance for all of the players. (It's not private anyway, we could just hop over to that player's match history to read his rune performance.)

  1. Guardian can shield yourself, so I can see why it might exceed that stat if it's your only source of shielding. Font of Life doesn't function similarly though, so that should be impossible. IOW, I don't believe you.

  3. Yeah I kind of don't understand why those rune stats aren't showing up on 3rd party websites.

  5. I'd rather them give us another tab after runes, called items to see this information.
  6. Okay I guess. I only have one rune page with this and so far I've only found success using it with 2 champions. Hadn't given it much thought. Being able to compare various champions' mileage with the keystone would be nice.
  7. Yeah, we see it in game, so it should carry over to post game so that one doesn't have to load up a replay and skip to the end to get this information. While we're at it, maybe they should code in melee and ranged form activations separately so that we can calculate the exact value of HP gained for a champion with alternate forms.
  8. I like the wards planted, I'm not sure if the vision score number is wrong but it is there. Also, why does Nocturne's ultimate give him CC score but not vision score? It's just what they chose to do but it seems silly because it's hard to tell how much he feared people.
  9. Could be nice I suppose. What I would like to see in regards to this is that year in review stat "how many times did you press q/w/e/r?" I liked that stat. Could also put in things like accuracy rating of skillshots(maybe 3/4 ratings for some: minions/monsters, champions, both). Adding a fear duration stat to Nocturne/Warwick E would then help with problem 8.
  10. Indeed. I usually don't have too much of a problem with this, but with the event going on now, I'm grinding harder than I usually do because wins give me a lot more experience than previously. +100 experience is a nice incentive to play a lot of games, but it also means when I want to watch replays it's very difficult to get at them since they're falling off the list for me to even access so I have to rename replays just to even watch them in game and click on the 'incorrect match replay button' to watch the older replays. I wouldn't have to download replays early and jump through such a hoop to watch them if you let us have a bigger match history in the client.
