A safer/easier way to dodge

In the normal games that I play, there are way too many people who either instalock or do a troll pick (i.e. from a real example, Yorick [who by the way needs a rework] ADC). In all the cases of someone being a pain in the Heine, I have dodged all of these games. The punishment that I received from these dodges however feels extremely unfair to me. There needs to be an option in the champion selection screen to vote whether or not to start the game. For example, if someone picks Yorick and instalocks, another summoner could start a vote to cancel the game and scramble matchmakin so you don't end up with the same people. In this case (hopefully) everyone would vote to cancel the game whereas xXMLGgamer69Xx would vote agains canceling the game, leading to a 4/1 vote which would cancel the game. If the vote fails, say 3/2, the people who voted for canceling the game would get their punishment softened if they decide to dodge.

I see where you are coming from....but here is my problem. I've mastered ap Lucian mid and I do well with him using ap. Some of my better game score are like 20/7 or there about. I believe champs can be played in different ways and can be mastered.

But when I call mid and pick luc in chat, most times its fine but occasionally the following happens.

1- someone will ask....."Lucian mid?"....i generally ignore them and don't even to bother to let them know I'm ap as that would make it worst. 2- someone pick another mid laner, usually Zed and says ADCs belong in bot and will forcefully try to take mid. 3- Someone will beg me not to take Lucian mid.

The thing is, whether ad/ap, Lucian can go mid lane. I'm not trying to troll. If you watch his champ guide by rito, they say he is a strong solo laner.

But people have a really bad mentality about adcs mid and blame me for losing the game, even when I'm doing the best on the team.

So, if you were to implement a system like the one you suggest, I would not get to play ap luc mid even though really good at it.

I'm with EndlessSorcerer on this one, even if they did add it to let people avoid teammates doing troll picks I think the only thing that would happen would be one team voting to not start a game if they thought the other team was better.

It could also lead to troll 4 man pre-mades going into games and just waiting until the last second then voting to cancel the game over and over again to grief people so riot would have to still add a penalty to it like they have for dodging now so would would still get queue blocked and/or lose LP...

Who wants to start a game which at least one person on your team has already given up?

Its normals, pick whatever you want and as long as you are legitimately trying to win its all good.

I made a post on deleting the lock-in feature for a similar purpose to this but got endlessly downvoted. Critics are real.

Or why not add free dodges into the game along the same style as rerolls in ARAM.
