What if Trist was more like Syndra?

What if more of Trist's power was moved into the later game based on which skills she maxes (just like with Syndras skills).

So... Q: would go 15-30-45-60-75 (final rank bonus gives extra 15% so it ends up being 90% like always). W: Reset on kills/assists would only happen at max rank. E: Honestly not sure here. R: Knockback distance stays at 600. Increases by 50% (so back to 900 as is) at max rank.

I mean other ADCs have been dumped on for much less. Sivir being the most recent example; rarely saw competitive play except in Korea where she didn't have anywhere near as absurd winrate as trist. Sure she had a higher soloQ winrate (54% compared to trists 52-53%) but that's hardly a reason for nerfs as other champs (like rammus/fid) have consistently held just as high win rates in soloQ for much longer than she ever did.

This would be a good nerf to her early game, while keeping her identity as a lategame hypercarry.

I feel that it might work, except that's kind of messing with Syndra's identity as non-ult scaling power spikes.

This...is a really bad argument. That Sivir got gutted doesn't mean every other ADC should too, or that it's okay for any champion to get nerfed to oblivion.

this statement is the key word othe adc's were dumped on so we can get hypercarries with good early game now

riot needs to bring her to current standards thats all

but i think that riot should remove her reset in my opinion, she has self peel, escape and insane cleanup potential she doesnt even need a support who would peel for her or cc her targets, just one man army i get jinx to get such a cleanup potential because playing her is risky, while trista is low risk high reward champ atm

I don't think that would really address Tristana's problems, though, nor would it cater to her theme (she's a rocket trooper, not a magical prodigy). The issue isn't so much that she's too strong early (even if her early game is stronger than that of any other hypercarry), but that she has no real weaknesses built into her kit, aside from a weak mid game. If she had a clear weakness right from the start, her power would be more manageable as well.

I think if we make all of her abilities scale with her passive it would giver her an weaker early game and put more focus on her late game. IE her q would reduce her range but give her a massive attack speed buff and the the range reduction would be negated in the mid to late game. Rocket jump and buster shot would would have their range reduce and go up per lvl. I think this change fixes the problem mainly because she does have weaknesses but they are mitigated by the fact that she scale so well. Having all of her kit scales up ephises here weak early and mid game , giving the other team a chance to take her out or keep her down.

I don't think that there's really much reason to give Tristana a Syndra-like effect. She'll still level her skills in exactly the same way (1-3-1 or 1-1-3 pre 6 with a skill maxed at 9) whether she has that bonus or not, just like Syndra would.

I think that changing W to 60/70/80/90/100% cooldown reset on kill is a good idea, though that would really hurt her early game in a way I'm not sure she'd survive without compensation. Maybe her W could get QoL buffs and she could get a minor bonus AD ratio somewhere in exchange for that?

You might also use her Ultimate levels to allow an upgrade to 1 skill, exactly like Kha'zix

  • Upgrade Q - X% movement speed boost when using Rapid Fire
  • Upgrade W - Resets on kill or assist
  • Upgrade E - Last hits with autoattacks cause the target to explode
  • Upgrade R - Adds some AD scaling or stun component

This would allow you to pick what you needed most at levels 6/11/16 instead of your proposal at a minimum of 9/13/16/18, but you don't get one of the upgrades.
