What possessed Riot to do what they did to Veigar?

I honestly saw the reason in adding the stun delay. It was kind of unfair because Veigar had so much damage with ult and w so if he stunned you, you were kinda dead (or very close to dead), and there was no counterplay other than moving away from him. But why in the name of all that is holy did they make his Q a skillshot? It's a farming ability, so if the minions group up too much it's impossible to farm. And since Veigar's farming ability got nerfed as hard as it did, then how is it fair to keep Nasus's farming ability as a point-and-click skill? Not that I want it to be. I'd rather them both having point-and-click farm.

saying stun has no counter play is same as saying morgana Q has no counterplay

He takes a bit of time to learn, his Q skillshot is a buff by far. It's way easier to get more stacks on Q.
