Dragon timer should always be up - for consistency

So, the buff timers we have are great. You get them if your team had vision of the monster's death, and not if you didn't (because it's "uncertain"). But unlike other mobs, it's ALWAYS certain when dragon is down.

This is of course because of the global sound, and how it shows up in the tab menu. You can argue that it's not "visual", but sound is an integral part of League. If you play with the sound off, you're not going to hear Sion ult, Rek'Sai ult, Janna's whirlwind, hitting an enemy out of view with a skillshot, etc.

So let's be consistent and stop those annoying chat timers for good. Make dragon timer up ALL the time.

I would rather they remove the global sound, its kind of silly to given information like that regardless of what anyone on your team did.

But if they do keep the sound I agree it should also give the timer.

i was about to disagree. but then again, youre right. since they added the global sound for any team taking dragon, they might aswell make the timer always available.

or better yet remove the global notification, and have people time dragon like it used to be.

It's an advantage for the team that took dragon. They know the exact second that dragon respawns and can clear the area and react that much faster to dragon than the team that does not know the exact second. The team without the timer also seems to not pressure drag as quickily as the team that knows the exact time. They also tend to position incorrectly such as put two teammates top while drag spawns in 10 seconds because there isn't the timer there constantly counting down and reminding them that drag respawns. So all in all, it's an advantage for one team to have dragon timer and the other does not but i disagree with you saying that both teams should have the timer no matter who took it or who had vision.

Can we do the same for Baron, and give it a global sound too? I know it's unnecessary (you can easily see when the enemy has Baron buff) and a slight nerf to sneaking Baron, but I feel like it is a big enough objective that it should get a menacing global sound also.

I play with sound off, deal with sion just fine. But you are right. It makes no sense to tie sound to timer.

When before it wasn't.

Chat timers aren't that annoying though... drag has a 6 min cd, so you just add 6 to the current time and whala, a timer. If you don't see it die then why should you get the timer? Hearing the whoshing sound already handI caps us enough

If you know when drag's respawning, what is the point of this post? You don't need the timer if you already know the time.

It makes no sense that they play a global sound but don't give us the timer.
