What people are forgetting when they talk about Seju getting gutted

She's a tank with the primary role to soak up damage, draw attention and CC whenever possible. Seju right now is able to fight and kill almost any carry with no problems while building full tank. Tanks are not supposed to easily duel a carry in any stage of the game. While the nerfs seem very harsh, which to be honest they actually are, they are in my opinion a fair change making sure her damage is suitable regarding her tankyness. But again these are just my thoughts so let me know your opinion.

In my opinion, a tank should be able to duel people just like everyone else, having favorable and unfavorable match-ups, but too much damage is too much damage, and that goes for everyone.

Sej is really powerful right now. Hurting her utility would hurt her role, but hurting her damage wouldn't hurt her as much. I consider it fair.

Yes, they are. Building 0 defense should be a bigger weakness than building 0 offense in a duel, because of how strong an offense-heavy build makes you when you do have peel.

The carry should often be able to run away if there is somewhere to go, depending on specific kits, skillshots, what's on CD and summoner spells, and possibly keep kiting them if they keep chasing.

But shooting the tank in the face and having the tank die first shows a serious game health problem (unless the marksman is just ridiculously fed, or the tank has only built MR and no armor).

Marksmen should not be strong duelists, because they're so damn strong in a proper team formation. Possible exception for Vayne and Twitch as a particular strength of particular champions, but don't overdo it. This leads naturally to marksmen should stay with their teams and not splitpush in the late game, but that's fine, there are other classes that are strong splitpushers.
