I think autofill is a good thing....
.... because it makes you learn.
We all know elo is important, we take proud in climbing. Elo essentially shows how good you are at the game.
But being "good" doesn't mean playing one or two champions great. Being good means playing every role good. If you play one champ/one role it only means you're good at playing that champion!
It's beyond me how Diamond+ players can only play two roles and think it's ok. Then you are not diamond player, you're " diamond mid, but silver adc" for example. If you want to really master the game, you have to be able to play every single role efficiently. Maybe not on the same level, but good enough so you don't feel like you can't do anything useful and just feed.
I used to think Masters and Challengers are gods of the game, but I'm starting to realize they're masters of one role, one champion.
Of course there're exceptions, but unless you are an LCS player you need to know every role to prove you deserve to be called ONE OF THE BEST/MINORITY.
People hate Autofill because it shows they're not as good at the game as they thought. And if some roles are boring - you're not doing it right. There's always so much to do.
This is another topic - but I'm sick of streamers who only play two champions and brag they're high elo. Every game it's, Lux or Ahri, for example, and then feed on every other champion. I think autofill will help us avoid one trick ponies and show who really are the best players of the game. Elo will finally be more accurate.
