Funny you mention Braum as a "useful" alternative. Sona actually counters him. Sona also counters 15 of the top 16 most played supports right now. All while Braum gets shit on by almost all of the top 16 most played.

I don't think you check stat sites my dude sona has a pretty high win rate, and I don't think damage buffs, speed boosts, heals and stuns qualify as useless. Funny how every person that I hear say they don't like someone playing support champ" x" is because they have never even played them.
