How will the removal of Conquer affect Riven?

Where do you think Riven will end up after the removal of Conquer? Do you think Riven is going to be worth putting time into to learn and master with the removal of Conquer coming in the near future?

No different than she was before the introduction of conqeuror.

She is always worth the time and effort. Her skill ceiling is very high, but so is her skill floor. Learning to quick combo with atleast 90% or higher efficiency is a requirement and it is difficult when in a competitive game. Also she uses different runes besides just Conqueror so she really should be fine, just weaker vs. Tanks.

Which is where she should be tbh, she should lose to most tanks and juggernauts, and beat the duelists and ranged top laners, but rn it feels like she just steam rolls anything. And when I say should win or lose certain matchups, I'm assuming even lvls, gold, and player experience/skill and not factoring ganks

if conq is removed (praise be the gods) riven unfortunately with probably fall into a different playstyle (i.e. she has multiple options with aftershock electrocute etc) and be indirectly nerfed basically she will just be worse against tanks just like every other champ who takes conq

Her play style will change a little but nothing significant, her winrate will only get higher since people won't be constantly pushing and getting ganked due to 'trying to activate conq'. They will play little safer. If Fervor gets back she will be as strong as before, maybe even stronger.

The funny part is people think conqueror broke anything. All it did was give a better option to champions. Jax was already using PTA. Tryndamere was to if not lethal tempo. Renekton uses PTA. The number of legit conq users isn't that large.

Champs like Jax and tryn should never have access to do true damage though, and PTA had more counterplay.

Riven is going to suck if they remove conqueror.

Before conqueror she was at 47% wr becacuse all you had to do was rush tabi and you basically couldnt die to her anymore, and a riven that cant snowball doesnt do very much.

And a riven that does snowball does too much. Basically when she gets ahead she just combos you to death with insane bursts, two stuns, four dashes, and a ranged ult and you basically don't have a chance to get back in the game lol, because even if you do catch her at a bad time, she just shield dashes away and stuns you on the way out. There really isn't a happy middle ground for this champ

If they remove (probably when they remove) Conqueror, it’s going to be replaced with a fervor of battle styled rune.
Hard to say where she’ll be, definitely not as good at dealing with tanks again.

Which is good, she excels at gap closing and bursting ranged adcs and mages, and squishier melees, as well as stunning multiple opponents at a time. It only makes sense for her to struggle against beefier champs.

Riven will continue to be super powerful, so long as Essence Flare is still a thing. Those cooldowns during her ult are absurd.

Well, Essence Reaver is getting reworked. I don't know of Essence Flare is still going to on it though. The video I watched today didn't mention it at all.

Yep Essence Flare is gone. Now that 9.3 is released, 3,400 gold for Spear of Sojin is going to take a long time to build though, and none of it's building components are going to give you much of a power spike. B.F. Sword (1300 gold) is the best component, and that's kind of lackluster compared to the kind of power spike other champs get from Sheen (1050 gold).

Once the conquer change comes I doubt it will be as much a problem. I wish we knew more about what the change is going to be. These changes make meta changes and may force players to rethink the champs they will focus on. Riven, Trynd, Jax, Darius, Yas, Yorick all are Conq users. That's like half the top lane champs use Conq.

The lack of stability in knowing that what champs you're focusing on will still be meta in the next few weeks is really annoying.

I don't know about the others, but I think Darius will be fine. I do pretty well (sometimes even better than conquerors) even when I go grasp, and I tried Aftershock last night against a team comp and it actually was amazing. Darius has enough pen and damage in his kit, he's better off gaining durability from ruins in order to be able to use it. I think he actually lost ground with the introduction of conquerors because then his own beefiness and tankier builds became less effective and is often forced to get as much up front damage as he can't (tried force) for a quick dunk pop-off or else explode because almost any bruiser can melt him now. Either that or enemies straight up run/dash away from him. All of that really works against his prolonged fight fantasy. With conquerors gone and tanks more viable again, he will be able to survive fights love get and build cleaver again

I was just testing Darius out with some different runes, and with the new Infinity. Holy smokes does his w do a shit ton of damage. I can crit higher damage than Darius Ult does. IDK wtf is going on, but I smacked a target dummy for over 2100 with one W. I did that with PTA instead of Conq. Who knows I might be able to find even a better combination, but damn his W is crazy.

Well it is both true and untrue. Darius can do a load of damage with W during passive if he has tried and a crit item. The problem is that doing that makes you squishier and, lacking an gap closers or Shields, it makes you super easy to cc and burst, and he already has difficulties getting to opponents without flash and ghost come mid/late game. To put it short, it's fun when you get super far ahead against the right comps, but it's not very viable. Especially because in order to buy enough crit to be consistent, you have to buy at least two crit items, which REALLY blows
