ARURF is the most awful gamemode ever introduced in league.

NOBODY gets satisfied. The reason why people played URF is that they can fulfill their wish of playing whatever they want. Not because of balance and a few OP champions. Making it random does NOT solve the solution, and it leaves nobody satifsfied. ALSO there is this accursed possibility that you get picked melees into mages and be swiss cheese at their mercy. Having responsibility in your picks signs a agreement that you will face your fate. This is just a horrible gamemode.

They know, they just don't care. Once Nexus Blitz is an actual game mode that's not being tested they'll probably forget all about ARURF and hope we do too

id agree but I never really liked normal URF either. I mean at least you could ban things and choose what you play so it was better, but I dont see the point of playing such an unbalanced mode where everything oneshots you, perma pushes you under tower, and/or spams heals without cost

Old urf was fun and all but your kidding yourself if you think it was so much better. It turned into a few people wanting to pick fun things and the rest picking godlike things just too win... if that was done in the current dmg meta you would need to have it full on blind pick so every1 can play the 5 champions in the game.

The main thing I dislike about arurf is it's not completely random... why call it all random when you see the same champions every game?

According to Riot, regular URF caused League to lose players permanently. That might not have been a problem when League was still growing since a bunch of people would come to fill their places, but now that it’s peaked, they probably don’t want to risk it.

I’m not saying it’s the right decision (I personally don’t care), but I just want to make sure all sides of the argument are heard.

URF could only be fun in the long term if it was some sort of objective-based, possibly even PvE game mode.

The very nature of the game mode is fun in theory and indeed in practice at first, until the tryhards naturally come into play and it can be awful to be completely crushed with no way of paying with enjoyment.
