If I Play Fill, Shouldn't I At LEAST Get Autofill Protection?

At the moment there's no reason to select Fill since I can Fill as Support for my team, then get Autofilled again as Support anyway.

Would be nice if I could at least choose when I feel like being Filled into a role instead of Autofilled.

Playing support always gives you autofill protection whether you got support through fill, a selected role, or autofill (autofill also gives you autofill protection regardless of what role it gives you)

Idk, but maybe next game don't put Fill? I don't know how it works, but yesterday someone said they always did Mid/Fill, well yea you are still picking Fill. When you are protected you need to pick a nonfill role.

No, this ain't about when you're protected.

It's when you're NOT, and you'd rather choose to be Filled than to be surprised with being Support when you put Top / ADC / something else.

Oh ok, sorry. Your OP was a little unclear.

I agree. THere was a game where I REALLY just wanted to play X champ. I don't even remember it now. But the one queue I got, I got autofilled. It was super =\ because I just wanted to play 1 game with that 1 champ. It sucks to be told to go somewhere else.

I don't get what you're saying. If I'm reading this correctly, signing up as "fill" doesn't provide autofill protection? Is this new? I thought it always had.

A little late on this, but it just happened to me so can confirm.

The only time I actually picked "Fill", hoping to get AF protection, I got ADC (which I NEVER play) and still had AF activated the next game. I think that's very unfair.
