Legit Question: Does anyone enjoy playing Zyra?

She's super immobile, doesn't seem like she scales all that well, I don't see the appeal at all.

Maybe I just need to learn when to throw out her seeds at more appropriate times. Zyra mains, gimme some of that wisdom. What's up with this champ? [sg-lux-2]

I enjoy playing her even after the horrible rework. And she scales VERY WELL, one of the best in the game at that.

Once you get a Liandry's + Void Staff, you're golden <3

My combo is EW then QWR, but if I'm being jumped on, EWR, then QW while they are being knocked up during R.

Not a zyra main but yeah I enjoy playing zyra unless when there is a Zed or a fizz on enemy team then she's not that fun

I think zyra is troublesome to play against she can build a perma army of plants she deals too much damage when you build her right and she has a lot of cc You can pretty much outplay any champ on the rift with the right positioning with few exceptions like an annoying fizz or Zed who can dodge everything due to their kits

I can't stand the new q hitbox, so not me.

I love her! I love landing a nice ult on top of my plants and then laughing as my opponents get gunned down by those pea shooters.

from what I know , she isn't fun to play People who main her always feel frusterated playing her ever since the rework she got in pre season 8 And they can't really even complain because every adc main will cry about her and mage supports being broken in bot lane

Speaking from 1,000,000 mastery worth of experience (plus games before mastery was added): No, Zyra is not fun to play. Not at all. Nor is she fun to play against.

You can thank Repertoir, who will neither read this nor give any fucks. Perfect example of failing upward and mistaking it for talent.

Zyra is one of the most fun champs to play as support

During early game Zyra is fun because she gives me the opportunity to hard carry bot lane. Also it's always satisfying to block a Blitz/Tresh hook with a plant, and a single well placed ulti can decide the whole game later. The fact that she is somewhat fragile and slow adds to her fun IMO, Zyra forces you to have map-awareness and think positioning, there is no "get out of any situation freecard, by fast clicking jump/dash". You have to read the game and play around vision or your starting to feed.

Zyra's play style overall is very unique and she is probably a bad pick for K/D/A players. Mid/late game your escape is bad and fed people focus you, so you should be fine with trades that costs you your life as long as it benefits the team, maybe your death gave your team a shutdown/objective or multiple kills - then good.

Unlike some supports, Zyra has many viable builds.

Zyra also has an unusual power curve and tend to be strong early in game, then (based on my experience) usually falls off at around 3-4 items and then hit a new powerspike again at 5-6 items. So: good, then bad, then decent again.

On a side note: she seems to be too weak to see any professional play these days.

TLDR: yes I enjoy playing Zyra

Yup.

You need to keep your distance, but if you can survive long enough you will melt entire teams.

You're also incredible as either follow-up or counter engage.

Try playing her as a jungler with Dark Harvest.

Why play Nunu or Zyra when Neeko does both of their job better.

kayochan7/22/2019, 1:08:45 PM1 votes

she isnt exactly "fun" but she's alright when youre in the mood to play her I guess? I only play her because ive been playing her for years, but if youre maybe a new player or something I can see how she would seem extremely boring compared to how champs are made these days.

Zyra Flashes M7 it's fun to watch the enemy team kill themselves for not taking two seconds to kill my plants, although they are like weaker shaco boxes, sure they do more damage, but shaco boxes have built in cc that most people can avoid if they want to kill the box, my plants die in 2 hits, don't have scaling health like heimer turrets, don't have built in cc to protect them so they can do damage like shaco boxes, and can't help me push towers like shaco boxes AND heimer turrets.

But as it is fun when they completely ignore her plants and you ult and they die, but if the enemy has any forethought then no, not really

Heimerdinger I found more fun to play as compared to Zyra .

Have them both going at it at Mid? That's actually fun to watch. Its almost a "Who can Stun Who First" fest...Idk watching them run around like headless chickens hoping to God they don't get caught in a stun us entertaining. That's a game you would place bets on if ya could XD

No, shes not fun anymore. she doesnt fit anyway. Mid she gets autoclassed by everyone, support shes just a worse Xerath Lux Lulu Velkoz

I dig playing her from time to time. Her main issue is that seed RNG is hard to manipulate when you start learning her. You also never want to cast W until after Q or E, as the window for them to sprout is pretty generous and this ensures they don’t get crushed. I personally enjoy her most as a jungler actually. You clear using plants and E/Q, with the W cooldown being reduced on monster kills allowing for quick clears. It does take a while to get going though, so I’d recommend ganking a lane with a strong early at level 2. (Something like a Jax top or Ashe bottom.) Anyways, some champs just don’t click for a while, but it’s always good to come back to them at a later time and try them then. Don’t worry if Zyra feels strange or difficult, but if you’re dedicated, then put in the time to practice, I’m sure you’ll have fun.

I like playing her as another form of support since I play Sona/Soraka a lot, I feel like I need to be able to play something other than a healer. The damage and CC is nice. Her zoning is useful.

Best tips are to try and proc the seeds with her Q and to remember they focus the last thing you autoed.
