I have multiple accounts all are high gold or platinum. But the thing I've noticed in Flex while some of my accounts placed high gold or low. The ones that placed silver are having as high or higher mmr games at high silver than high gold of Flex que. Why is this a thing. I'm solo queing flex btw.
Because either the plats/gold have shit MMR, or you have really good MMR and are going to skip tiers.
It is unfortunate, but it is because the queue is new so everyone's MMR was kinda low on it. I don't think they based it off last season's Solo Q MMR I think they based it off of last season's Ranked Team 5's MMR. This is the nightmare that Solo Q would be if everyone was reset to Bronze 5 every season like some people request. By mid season it will start to balance out and next season it will be pretty balanaced. Right now it is not a competitive queue and you have to play it with the same mindset that you use when playing Normal Draft. Honestly it doesn't get any better as you climb the ladder. I hit Diamond in it and still don't get quality games. Sometimes I have silvers on my team against challengers and it feels unrewarding to do well because you know once mid to late game comes around it will be a stomp because of objective control and team fight mechanics.
