My friend was just banned for 2 weeks, he honestly isn't that bad of a guy. He just sometimes gets into petty arguments with team mates over dumb things. He never says anything to excessive but he gets reported a lot for arguing with team mates who pick fights with him. Anyways, he is thinking about quitting playing ranked since there is no point since he wont get any rewards for being gold+ at the end of the season now. He's never been banned before and I honestly think this banning will be a huge wake up call to ignore the trolls that bait him into arguing.

So my question is this: If you are banned this season is it possible to still earn rewards at the end of the season since it is still so far away?

I think if he knows that if he improves his behavior he can still earn his rewards, so long as he doesn't break the summoners code anymore.

For the last two seasons a ban had to be within the last 3 months of the season to make you ineligible for rewards. Even if the particulars change some, I doubt it is going to make a ban that is 5+ months out make you ineligable.
