He honestly is not that bad to play against. Attack speed slow items cripple him and if you disengage once he gets low and waste his ult he is forced to back or die since he is so squishy.
I don't get what points you're trying to raise here. Why is Gnar's Rage bar relevant to Tryndamere's ult?
I actually want to dodge him most of the time too, hes just so obnoxious, gets 
, maxes Q, ignores you and just splitpushes or dives you by right clicking with random crits lol.
