Is there any priority difference between the Primary and Secondary roles?

I have noticed that in majority of my games I get my secondary role. I mainly play ADC so I usually do ADC Primary/supp second and it feels like I get supp like 70-80% of the time. I know that supp isn't the most popular role and that most people want to play adc/mid but however even when I do things jg/supp or top/jg or top/mid I still get secondary role. So I was wondering if RIOT has some kind of priority set when deciding what role you get and how much emphasis is put into making sure you get your primary role most of the time or is it that they give you the role which is low in demand like supp/jg and primary/secondary role selection has little impact towards the decision making.

Apparently not. In my last game I picked support 1st and mid 2nd, and when I asked our support he said he had put support 2nd... makes no fucking sense. It's supposed to prioritize your 1st but it really does not feel like it does.

Just got into another game and I got mid again. Our jungle was jg 2nd and mid 1st. WTH.

Role priority makes no sense, locking in everything makes no sense, and the visuals are fucking annoying. I'm not playing fucking Heartstone here.

I usually get my Primary when i go Jungle..

Just put mid or jung as second and adc as main. You will get adc 80% of the time.

Well the thing is I dont really play mid too good and I am decent and jg but way better at bot lane mainly ADC so I dont wanna risk having put in a role I am not too good and lower my chances of winning and performing well

well if you choose support as primary or secondary then be prepared to play support more often than not since there aren't that many people selecting support as either primary or secondary.

I'm a sup main... and I almost never get sup in the new que. It sucks because I've gotten alot better in the last few months, but as a support. So now when I que, I end up trying to mid/adc whatever but I since I don't play them often my skill level is lower then support so I get destroyed in lane alot of games.

I'm having the same bad experience. I've been dying to play mid and I've been getting nothing but my secondary role. I've been counting the games too, SEVEN games in a row I couldn't go mid despite having it as a primary. This game mode sucks, there's no point.
