Can we give Taliyah some incentive to use E W at all?

It was her original disruption combo and it dealt a lot of damage regardless of resistances back then. Now that they're nerfing it's base damage even more, there's little to no reason to ever use E W over W E since they both deal the same amounts of damage once the mines are triggered. W E is safer overall and it lacks the weaknesses E W gives off, which is forcing Taliyah to be in dangerous range. This weakness, however, was not as prevalent prior to the Lockout removal as her mine damage from E was extremely punishing for anyone who got caught in it. Due to the falloff damage, her mines only tickle people who build 1 or 2 MR items.

I've seen some Taliyah mains suggest that her E W combo should not have falloff damage, but her W E combo should. Allies pushing enemies through the minefield and enemies triggering the mines themselves should not have falloff damage either. This would give strengths and weaknesses to both setups as patient Taliyah players are rewarded with higher damage, while impatient Taliyah players are greeted with MUCH lower damage. Lets be honest. A lot of Taliyah mains and former Taliyah mains are distraught about how their champion is gimped in almost every aspect besides her overbuffed Q, which is also being reverted to release day soon. I believe Lockout isn't the only way to give her old playstyle back, but we have to at least try to make it happen.

I saw a Taliyah "one shot" a Draven with use a E W combo.

Did he build MR? Did he orb walk optimally? Was Taliyah ahead of him? Did Draven fight back? All of these factors come into play when looking at these things. As far as I've seen, landing a simple W against a competent ADC who knows how to counterattack and orb walk is slim to none. Especially with a W indicator so unhelpful it might as well not be there.

+1 for sound logic and reasoning. Poor Taliyah shouldn't get the nerf bat.

I mean, her Q definitely does don't get me wrong. That thing is the main reason why she's even played in higher elo. She shouldn't be able to do everything TF can but better. She should fill her own unique niche by punishing gapclosing-happy players the way she did and being more on the Supporty/Utility side like Morgana. That was her old playstyle. Her solid counters are high movement speed enemies such as Hec, Udyr, and Shyvana.

she should get the bat to the face.

They should just revert her to her release version. She got %#^!ed because of her skill curve and became a mindless Q spammer.

To be honest, 6.10 Taliyah felt solid. People didn't give her any time and went "Oh DanielZKlein. How you have screwed this one up." even though it was just a few weeks after her release. She just exploded into strength after 6.11's mindless 50% bonus damage Q buff and I'm pretty sure this is where people asked for the rest of her kit to be gimped.

Her skill curve was underestimated and people just left her in the dust after 6.14. Both people who played her prior and people who asked for the changes. I think the Q nerf on the PBE is good for her playstyle altogether, but her W and E really needs fixes as it stands.
