What are your thoughts about recent changes in league?

Particularly in regards to the introduction of one shot potential (zoe and dark harvest). Riot seems to have flipped philosophies on what kind of gameplay is healthy for the game. Maybe we will see a reintroduction of deathfire grasp as a new rune? Or an option to swap Sion and Yi back to their original ap 1 shot forms?

Also how do you think Riot should fix URF? I personally think that Riot should release 1 weekend of both URF and AR Snowdown URF and see which one prevails.

solo carrying is insanely difficult.

games arent fun/satisfying when you are losing/winning

favoritism is blatantly obvious when it comes to adcs/tanks

the fact that it took ardent 6 months to be nerfed still haunts me in my dreams . every single human being with an IQ over 0 knew it needed to be gutted from day 30.

fighters have no place for 3 seasons.

top lane dependant on too many factors with most of them being out of ur control sometimes (champ picks/jungler camping u)

game has become too snowbally where people building damage get shit on by people building tank.

inting/trolling at an all time high with barely any consequences unless its streamed in front of 500k people..

promises of rewards for veterans with high IP collections and the only thing we get is urf warwick for literally all of my savings for the past 3 years (150k ip) and some shitty ass cheesy ass childish ass chibi icons.

The game feels like garbage.

Not much else to it.

Ok....so....in terms of URF.....Riot should release it as, get this, A PERMANENT CUSTOM GAMEMODE for regular URF. That way people can enjoy URF with friends whenever they want without having to wait a full year just to play it. People love this gamemode to death and the whole stigma of "it will lose its popularity if it's permanent" is simply not true considering we've seen with other games just how large communities can get in regards to one custom gamemode such as Hide and Seek and whatnot.

Btw, thanks for removing the Crystal Scar Riot.....big help in making this game more exciting when you remove an entire map with a dedicated custom game community. Yeah, Riot did that.

As for the one shot potential that has been released I personally think that it's a disgusting move by Riot since they called out the assassin class for it in the whole update only to make a rune and champion specifically designed for one-shotting. If they're going to do that then they should just revert the entire assassin update. People are saying Zoe is balanced and yet Faker has publicly stated that he just wants Zoe nerfed into the ground or deleted from the game. The same applies to people in higher elos since Zoe is utter cancer to deal with. As for Dark Harvest it's a feast or famine rune which goes against one of Riot's main philosophies being that they hate feast or famine playstyles.

Blue essence This one deserves an entire section.

You now get less in game currency in terms of consistency, your in game currency revolves around lootboxes (hello Battlefront 2), mastery token costs are through the roof and you're not rewarded for reaching higher levels.

Overall it's a horrible system based around RNG as opposed to consistent numbers each game. Cause you know, we don't get in game currency after each game......

This is arguably their worst decision besides the juggernaut update.

Parts of the new season that I like:

Even though there will always be a meta, this time around you atleast don't feel like you're trolling of you pick outside if it with the variation in rune options.

Whatever you might think of the new pre-game system, fact is old masteries offered no choice whatsoever, were stat based and therefore always favoured a handful of champs, and were overall just straight up problem-creating garbage since release. They ditched them for a reason.

Snowballing is still too strong, however have to say the faster paced games are growing on me.

That poll is confusing. [sg-soraka]

What am I supposed to pick if I'm a thinking, lamp loving potato?

Wouldn't say Riot have flipped philosophies at all though, they are straight continueing their curse since S6. Snowballiness and damage creep are pretty bad since then and just seem to become worse every season. Riot didn't really break much this season, but the big issue is that they didn't fix any of the shit that desperatly needs fixing, and instead added a bit more ontop of the existing pile of crap.

Longer engagements require more skill and fundamentally Riot's low elo balance team has always favored low skill flashy retard plays so what else do you expect.

Jaspers12/15/2017, 2:13:54 PM2 votes

Runes make for a lot of style of gameplay but it can be hard to work out is the best for your champ without feeding trying things out. For example, so far I've tried Nasus with Dark Harvest and then lifesteal from precision. With Grasp plus sustain from domination. Glacial Augement with sustain from Resolve... all seem viable. Think Press the Attack will be too as W then a couple of autos, follwed by a auto reset Q will chuck them loads.

But the issue comes from actually doing that and people might just stick to what's easy... grasp (but that's boring).

I mean Nami, the greatest champ in the game, having Aery is a must because her E now shields people, so going down a different path just doesn't seem worth it from the single bit of benefit Aery gives, beside what else do you get? Domination and Ingenious hunter to make your actives come back sooner? But you lose the biscuits and extra 5% cdr or approach velocity being partnered with celerity and her passive.

... I dunno. I think some champs are locked into only a few choices while others have loads of them.

I like them mind you. If they can easily adapt them and add more, I'm all for this change.

Also, lethality needs reducing (even more) or everyone should be given 5 armour and 5 MR. I don't want start of the season for pros to just be Jhin and Varus again building lethality. That stuff was dull the first time.

Also how do you think Riot should fix URF?

just bring back the old urf with a bann for each player, instead of this random and limited champion pool bullshit

idk why a fun mode have to be balanced (and yet it is not,now you can't pick the broken urf champ but you have to hope you get it randomly, and when you end up with an useless pick or a pick that you don't want you are going to play a game hoping it will end fast, there is no fun in that),urf was made exatly for see your champion become broken

Talk about a leap in logic there, TC.

Athenes Lulu12/15/2017, 7:54:14 PM2 votes

I just want to play non kill lane botlane again without being accused for trolling, that isn't straight up "afk and wait for late game".

But we all know enchanters are braindead but tanks can take just as little skill and get away with it, no one likes laning with us anyways :-)

SSmotzer12/15/2017, 4:07:23 AM2 votes

The updates could not come fast enough, and the game is still broken, and parts of it still look like they were rendered in an N64... but at least they are trying.
