YES PLEASE NERF TOWER DAMAGE IN EARLY GAME
Why do we even both having towers? They're stupidly underpowered with far less use than ever before. I was in a game yesterday where the other team was at our mid inhib. turret with 3 minions. I watched as the tower spent a full second, maybe 1.5s, between attacking one minion and switching to the next when it died. 4.5s is a lot of time with a hungry enemy team going after your turret to hit it with ranged attacks. The slowing effect they used to have at least made people have to be a little cautious but that was taken out in favour of this current race to end all games within 25 minutes.
The game I'm talking about was a lost cause but when towers are basically sitting there taking forever to switch targets and start dealing damage of any kind there seems to be very little point in having them. I don't get why Riot is so set on having games end stupidly fast this season. Can they not afford to run the LCS games as long? Too busy counting their massive amounts of money perhaps?
The laser turrets are so slow at ramping up damage that anyone with even a small amount of bonus armour isn't bothered by them for a good 3 seconds minimum and the outer turrets with their delay between shots may as well not be there at all. They are so weak now and fire so slowly that they would have the same effect in most games if they just self-destructed at 10 minutes. I don't see why the bonus shields were removed from mid lane when it's already the weakest and hardest shoved lane. If anything I'd have weakened top and bottom while strengthening mid lane to encourage teams to take more than one objective before trying to push for the end.
