Changes ARE Needed to Fix the Game
Yeah yeah.... mock me for posting a Hashinshin vid.
Now with that out of they way, can we just admit that he has made valid points for once. Riot's balance team, champ creation team... all of their teams seem to not be paying attention to rules or the actual power levels of their champs. Champs that are doing fine get buffed, champs that aren't that meta defining get nerfed into the ground, and game rules(such as towers always giving vision) are broken. Aside from those three things, Riot has been pushing for more one-shots, upping player's damage, making runes so impact-ful, the only reason to run Resolve is for chrysalis and maybe extra healing, and not paying attention to their power level(LIKE REALLY, AERY AUTO HITS A CHAMPION, WHEN A GAME HAS DOTS). I think Riot needs to look at their runes first and foremost.... and nerf those... make keystones weak, and other runes give little AP/AD so that champs aren't ridiculously strong. Replace members on the Balance team with more experienced ones(and/or people of higher rank), and for the love of god.... have someone check the champs mechanics and bring up stuff that breaks rules or the game(Akali
with her "obscure" mechanic that makes towers unable to target her is a prime example of this).
Here is just a thought on why Riot is letting this happen. They want to see the rise of oneshots. The easier it is to get a kill... the more exciting the game is... right? NO!! Oneshots are not fun... they are infuriating and have 0- no counterplay if people don't prevent it. With stuns lasting so long, and Riot deciding to not listen to their own rule, it seems they want the game to be easier, oneshots to be easier... and everything to be so much EASIER. An easy game DOES NOT EQUAL a fun game. It just means that the team that wins feels nothing good while the team that lost tries to find out what they did wrong and feels horrible. Riot needs to stop trying to appeal to the viewers... They aren't a TV show... they are a video-game first and foremost. And to echo lines that every game developer should heed, "Games... should be FUN"(Reggie) [slayer-jinx-unamused]
