Should I diversify my playstyle?

I know that my question seems obvious: yes! Diversifying your playstyle keeps you ready for anything!

But, when I stick to my bread and butter role (tanky supports), I perfect that role, allowing me to be extremely skilled at that one role.

This question was spurred by the new champion, and, as they are quite literally the opposite of my playstyle, I was wondering if I should try her/them and see if it helps me.
