First Impressions of Urgot

So this is just my own experience playing him in my relatively low elo (silver2). I haven't seen any threads just on peoples experiences and overall thoughts on urgot so please share your own opinion on how the rework has affected him. So overall I feel like he's balanced though on the strong side. He has waveclear that's not the best but is overall about equal to most top lanes though with positioning you can make him slightly above average. Where he really shines is once he hits six your ganks are unreal. I would just push out my wave as fast as i could which isn't as punishing with the passive as you dont blow too much mana, then roam mid. If they are low and haven't backed as is common in my elo just ult from fog of war and get an easy execute, or if there's too high create a engage opportunity for your own midlaner. Once laning phase ends though he seems to fall off power as he's easily kited without using his ult as engage instead of execute. If your team has engage he does well, if not he struggles to perform as his engage is exetremely telegraphed. His dps is good though IMO not quite up to 1v1 trading against anyone other than tanks who have low damage where he gets the most from his percent hp damage. TL;DR he's balanced. Average lane, great ganks, not good for engage but good follow-up, performs best in mid game. Please share your own experiences and thoughts on the urgot rework, if no one else i want to hear them.

Best counter strategy ... simply walk away from Urgot in a straight line. His knees can't work, his W keeps him from keeping up with you, his E has a hitch and telegraph and can't really catch someone running away.

dude doesn't even need crit, his autos hit minions so hard with tank items it's so fun. finally a tank for the adc role.

Played a game where Maokai effectively dumpstered Urgot. Kept killing him, had double his CS. Urgot got two items and immediately got a triple on us. They won the game off it. If he can perform that well from behind it's only a matter of time before people learn how to use his kit and then he will truly be the Urgod, permabanned until nerf, of summoners rift.

His pretty okay. He isn't broken but strong. Still can be crushed by some champions. I like him and that ult is hella fun to pull off.

darius is good into him since he wants to fight you also the only thing that needs to be nerfed or changed is his shield strengh or cdr

I've found Urgot actually gets really strong mid to late game (assuming he didn't feed early). Though hard cc screws him over severely since he often needs to move around his opponent.

My initial impressions on him was that he was insanely strong and oppressive when ahead, then i realized he has a gamebreaking weakness that is shared by all top laners. If enemy adc gets fed he is litteraly useless and is at the complete mercy of the adc competence to actually carry.

He has no range but destroys anyone in melee. His ult is soooooooooooooo satisfying to pull off! I would sometimes KS my allies to meat-grind someone.

feels like laning against teemo.
