I was looking at the op.gg Tier list for Top Lane and I noticed that Olaf is 7th. What makes Olaf so much better than Tryndamere? Tynd has a better engage/escape and his ult makes him unkillable for 5 seconds. He has a heal like Olaf too. So what makes Olaf 7th and Trynd 40th?
Trynd is less played, its that simple. Also Olaf is pretty cheesy with new Conq atm. Had Conq not been changed, Trynd would be above Olaf.
olaf has 10 times more healing than tyrn not counting any items. and with how fast olaf is attacking while gaining life at the same time he can wail on tyrn and just out last tyrn past the 5 sec immortality. or if he is lucky he can destroy tyrn before he can use his ult.
Tryndamere is a dedicated split pusher, early, mid, and late game.
Olaf is a strong early game champ (is very popular in pro games as a jungler). But unlike Trynd who becomes a tower smasher late, Olaf becomes a super minion with an awesome skin. So you really can't say one is better than the other.
Because Olaf is a better designed berserker champion in just about every way.
Tryndamere no longer has a rune. Conq change just hard nerfed him
