Animation Cancelling

So I think it was about a patch or two ago that they fixed Riven's Q animation so that it would automatically cancel if you went to do an auto attack roght after, so why not also apply this to other champions? An example is Fiora's lunge, you can as of currently animation cancel with her Lunge so that you get a smooth harass combo out but the timing on it is a bit hard to get down (same with Riven's Q before the fixed it). I believe Jax is able to animation cancel with his Leap Strike but only if he has enough attack speed. Anyways if Riot could implement the same thing they did with Riven to a few other champions then it would be a nice minor buff to the champions like Riven.

You scared me for a sec. XD The Riven change got reverted on the pbe shortly after it went through:

When asked this was an intentional change, Meddler explained: "This is an unexpected change from some of the fixes in 5.1 to Overlapping CC effects (Riven's lockouts, which were blocking her from auto attacking automatically at once previously, use some of the same system that governs CC). We're going to look at this and discuss what the appropriate course of action is start of next week, will keep you folks posted."

They reverted it 'cause it was broken...

Um. Minor buff? It took all the skill out of unloading Riven's full combo.

ok thanks guys I did not see the revert in the patch notes since: We are Riot Games and We like to make things more complicated than what they are so we confuse the players on a daily basis

Fiora and jax's single mobility move has next to no cancellable animation anyways :/ you can't cancel a point and click since you can't back out if you're enroute to that location.

actually with Fiora for a smoother Q>aa>Q>aa animation if you can time it correctly you can instantly aa after your Q casts

yeah, that's completely different from riven's Q cancelling. Right now, riven cancels Q animation by clicking somewhere else (move command not attack), then auto. Her Q automatically cancels her auto like all champions. the main difficulty is to do that move command correctly: if you move forward, your next Q will land you pass the enemy so when you go back to auto you'll be facing away from the direction your enemy's running thereby making your third Q land away from the enemy and ruining the entire combo. you should be executing the move command away or sideways from your target's intended direction.

tl;dr: riven's Q combo's this: aa>Q>move>aa>Q>move>aa>Q>move>aa before reverting in pbe it was this: aa>Q>aa>Q>aa>Q>aa (less commands, same damage) fiora's combo is aa>Q>aa>Q>aa regardless
