Question about provisionals! (need a quick answer)

Just a question.

I'm new to league, been playing since the release of vel'koz and I've recently mustered up the courage to play my provisionals in the preseason 5.

...

Yeah I lost 5 and won 3, and I don't wanna play any more provisionals. At the start of season 5, will my provisional matches be completely reset, (starting from 10 matches all over again), or will I have to play through the matches that I have left for placements?

It'll reset and you should give it more time before playing ranked next time since you're still fairly new.

You will have to play the 10 matches again, however your MMR has already been effected by the 8 games you have played which will be somewhat mitigated for the new season assuming Riot does a soft reset again.
