Suggestion: Make Evelynn's Q ability (Hate Spikes) toggle-able

Evelynn's Q ability (hate spike) has a really short cooldown (base is 1.5 seconds). This forces Eve player's to tap their Q key rapidly for long periods of time, and that gets uncomfortable. With cooldown reduction, you can even have to tap your Q key more than once per second.

Many Champions have toggle-able abilities for which you press a keyboard key once to turn that ability on and it stays active until that key is pressed again. Examples include Ashe's frost shot, Warick's blood scent, and Cho-Gath's vorpal spikes. I suggest that Riot does that for Eve's Q ability (hate spike).

Question: Isn't it a problem that if I have Eve's Q toggled on, it might proc on a minion or something and reveal my presence before I am ready to engage?

Response: Toggle- hate spike off before you gank and only toggle hate spike back on when just as you're ready to engage (pounce on them!)

Question: That sounds like a lot of button pushing and careful timing of when to toggle-on Eve's Q.

Response: Well, it is less than what's required in the current paradigm. Currently you have to press Q right when you're ready to engage anyway, but then you have to continue spamming the Q key like crazy during the ensuing fight.

Question: having Eve's Q toggled-on will burn though all my mana! Having to press the key each and everytime makes me more concious of the mana cost

Response: Having Ashe's Q toggled on all the time also burns all your mana or tapping Q excessively with the current Eve set-up. Just toggle it off if you want to conserve mana.

Evelynn Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q, Q ..... my fingers hurt Q_Q

So you mean like Toggle on: Every 0.75 seconds, Eve fires out a homing spike that hits units? Costs X per spike?

So kinda like swain, but only cost on hit?

Basically, turning the toggle on would be like telling an imaginary machine "okay, start pressing my keyboard's Q button over and over like crazy until I tell you otherwise" . When you toggle off, it would be like telling the imaginary machine "okay, you can stop now". Eve would function exactly the same way she does now; it's just a user interface issue.

if i had a choice between toggle and no toggle. I'd choose no toggle. Simply because of how awkward it would be to use in certain situations that I'm thinking of but far too lazy to type out.

Ew no, being able to control Q is critical to clears, not that it matters in this current jungle, it also opens you up to tower aggro more easily as well.
