Suggestion: Coop vs AI variations

As a player that is migrating from playing Coop vs AI to PVP, it feels like there are 2 big aspects that are initially quite disconcerting.

  1. Hoomans always play Blue side
  2. AI Bots never jungle or ward

I remember after the new Runes Reforged patch dropped for a few games after being randomly assigned a side and I thought this was a positive change. Shortly after though this was returned to how it always was, with humans always taking blue. I'm not sure if this change was due to negative feedback or if it was because the initial change was an accidental byproduct of the patch that needed to be fixed.

I know it doesn't really sound like a big deal, whether or not you are up or down and maybe it's just me. I personally think that these 2 changes would make transitioning to PVP a little less 'intimidating' for anyone wanting to do so while adding another dimension to Coop. It would also help teach the importance and a chance to practice jungling, counter-jungling and warding to those interested in learning, whether or not they transition to PVP.

There are a number of players who are not interested in PVP and that's completely their choice, so even from the perspective of being able to enjoy a slightly more varied gameplay mode, I think this would be welcome.

Now, given I'm posting in the Gameplay and that players that exclusively play Coop probably don't feel serious enough about the game to post or read the boards, I feel it's unlikely this post will get much traction, but I can hope, right?

:) Thanks for considering this. Please don't vote down just because you don't Coop or consider those that do as 'less than', because I think it could only help blind picks in the long term if players that only occasionally like to dabble in PVP aren't so unaware of how the games playout which I think would only benefit everyone in general.

Yeah, I would love to see a bit more put into the Coop games so that new players weren't at such a drastic disadvantage from PVP players. I literally played Coop non-stop when I started playing, figuring when I was good enough to crush the bots, I'd have a good understanding of the game so I wasn't hindering my teammates. Nope. Not even close.

The one thing you can learn from bots really well is how to kite. If you are good, you can easily get kills due to them over chasing until they're low. Other than that though, they teach a lot of bad habits (like not warding, not backing, perma pushing, overstaying, doing dragon/baron without clearing vision, etc).

I swear that it used to be that intro/beginner bots was always blue side and intermediate bots randomized which side you got, but maybe I'm remembering wrong.

Honestly, having like a Doombots version of the Coop games might be nice, as it would offer a slightly more difficult version of bots for people who want to learn more. Not as insane as Doombots are, but something where the bots have more HP, get more gold/buy items quicker, have a level lead, etc. Just small things that would make the bots harder to offer a better example of what a PVP game would be like. Maybe even increase their aggressive state, since bots will flash combo if you are low, so maybe increase that a bit so that they will do that more often or something.
