Let's talk about Ekko.

Just wanted to put my OP.GG out there, played alot of games with this guy, and he's honestly my favorite champ in the game in every aspect. But today I'm talking about him from a gameplay standpoint.

Apparently he'll be receiving a buff the next patch or so, and a lot of people don't like it. I don't blame you considering that many believe his kit to be overbearing, but as a Ekko main at this point I feel I could tell you alot about his game and why he may need a buff.

For one, his early game mana wise is a hassle. When Doran's became a unique passive, stacking them doesn't provide the same sustain it used to. As a result, after a couple Qs and/or a trade that went right (or wrong), you're OOM, and if you took ignite, you basically lost alot of pressure in your lane. There are quite a few champs that out-sustain him in lane early because of this, or basically punish him when CSing knowing he cannot really afford to continue to trade back.

If they do buff him, I hope it's for his mana, because while I believe a lackluster early game helps balance the champ, they could do it a different way (longer CDs, lessened damage at first rank that scales better as the game goes along, maybe). I consider him to be a mid game champ, so, that'd be the most logical.
