Holy shit on a stick, I cannot possibly fathom anyone maining this role in low elo without losing their mind.
You have my upmost respect as a player if you can be a support main for these toxic children known as "carries."

Yep. Gotta love getting flamed for using all my abilities as Zyra before dying, which chunk the enemies quite low, and then my plant kill the enemies as my Jhin flashes in for that last auto plus Q. Or playing as Brand, dying to a gank as I get off my combo, and then having the ult bounce plus passive get people low and the burn plus DFT kill them right as my 100hp Vayne pops ult to go in.
"STOP KSING. YOU'RE THE SUPPORT" Dude, been dead for 2 seconds. I literally can't KS while dead cause I didn't build Redemption yet.
I think the one that made me laugh the most was a game as Janna where my ADC just couldn't stop taking poke from the enemy Caitlyn, so my ADC had like 300 health as a big wave crashed into tower and the enemy jungler comes out from our jungle bush (red side) while the enemy bot lane walks forward. Somehow managed to keep my ADC alive through all that and I came out with a triple simply because I accidentally shielded the tower when my ADC flashed away and they all died to tower shots. "AFK. THIS SUPPORT SUKS."
I had one kid adc today. Said to me " if you take my kills. I will honestly be mad". He was jhin and he ulted enemy adc (cait) and she was down to 1% health. I didn't AA her and then said to him " I didn't want to ks your kill" . LMAO
He was like " Are you serious?" . Lel
At this point, I don't care if they're toxic. Just don't be 100% pure garbage.

See, there's actually a technique I used to get out of bronze when I started...
Step 1
Play Morgana, nothing else. 99% of support players in low elo are 
freelo and your carry does not know how to dodge.
Step 2 Do everything you can to keep your team from tilting and try to keep them focused on objectives.
Step 3 Be as annoying as possible to the other team to tilt them into inting, but don't do anything reportable.
Step 4 Ban Caitlyn, Jinx, Jhin, Vayne or Lucian because you can't trust your ADC to not feed them.
Step 5 Cross your fingers in champ select during promos.
My brief forray into ranked last season made me want to kill myself, and not just because everyone said it constantly.
tbh supporting in low silver was much easier than low gold, you get punished less and enemies are more out of line, and let's be honest, who at silver 5 knows what bard does?
Please help me, ive been a support main since season 5, and can't get out of silver because i cant carry these mindless people that call themselves players.
I used to play Janna/Ali but nowadays people can't ADC properly, so I have to pick 
and take kills. I don't what's going on this season but I feel like the overall level of plays as decreased especially in the botlane. I rarely see a good ADC anymore and when I do I'm almost mesmerized by it. yesterday I played ADC ziggs to see if it was still relevant and stomped lane so hard it was almost laughable.
If you want to ADC here's some things you need to do well (stop blaming your support)
Yup. Carries suck in low elo. Their skill level is -100. Supports have to do everything, set up a kill, and hope adc is gonna be smart enought to last hit dying enemy.
You're pretty masochistic if you're playing a support at low ELO in all honesty. Unless you're going an AP support and building mejais. There's so many unskilled players to take advantage of and get fed from.

Carryjng from support role is easy in bronze/silver, gets really hard in gold and gets easier in high plat+

Honestly though, yeah, I switch to adc or jungle when I can't handle playing punching-bag. And oh lord, if you can't handle the general atmoshpere of support, don't even try

I main shaco and absolutely love good supports more than good adcs. If bot lane has a solid support we can carry together because the devestation I can bring to that lane will leave the other bot lane in ruins. There have been many games where the support was clearly carrying the lane and I knew it, and of course take advantage. Anytime I play with a great support I let em know because it makes a huge difference. A landed thresh hook for me is a dead enemy, a landed nami bubble is a dead enemy, even a point and click janna slow is going to be a dead enemy.
I switched from support secondary to bot secondary. It doesn't even happen much considering no one likes top in my MMR lol
but yeah, I get a LITTLE bit tired of being flamed in what will probably be my only game that day.

I main support in around bronze/silver elo and it's hell, but it helps that my duo partner is an ADC main. It's tough trying to carry the bot lane alone, but the rest of the team makes it harder. It's why I started practicing top lane too. Either I have to babysit or I get left alone.
And don't ask about the ranked game with the Yasuo Jungle. No amount of supporting could save that wannabe.
I changed my secondary to support a couple days ago and so far I've had only success in most of my games, except my last one I think... either way, support is in a very good spot currently and playing the role isn't a hassle anymore... the one that's awful to play is adc though which happens to be my main, but oh well...
not all of them are like that. Bur i've had my fair share. I'm certain your ability and attitude are more salutable than me just playing a role i've done from the begining.
If you really want something fun though, try 
supp. much more fun than you would think. Very effective against lee ganks too.
I salute you sir, even tho I think the adc had a reason to blame me, I mean, who wants a bronze 5 support that has 7 fps and 300 ping?
I know right? Some of them don't like free kills lmao
then there's the ones that say "report nami inting" after saving the adc from a 3v1...like i've legit had this happen to me
A lot of low elo adcs are bad but also they have never played with a good support before. But we can do well in lane because they see I am making good trades and carrying them as support, they will start to take my advice and they learn how to work as a team. If you get matched with a bad adc, watch them play and see what their weaknesses are, and focus on protecting them from letting that mistake kill them. They will notice that you have caught on to their mistake and instead of flaming, you are trying to help them win anyway. If they flame or point out your mistake, don't answer them in chat. They are usually a lot less toxic and more respectful if you approach the situation this way.
