Toplane still less impactful then a melee minion

Glad we keep buffing lanes like mid, jg, and botlane as a whole for them to lose lane and lose the game for everyone, while toplane is still in the same shitter with no plans to make it impactful at all win top lose game lose top lose game it's just always lose game if your other laners aren't ahead you don't matter at all. Losing botlane shouldn't mean lose the game, losing mid shouldn't lose the game, losing jungle shouldn't decide the game. Please give some form of power to toplane. Better yet remove jungle and make a second support go top so at least we can have two adc in the game so if botlane loses we have top adc win the game remove tanks, Bruisers, and duelist from the game entirely.

Lobby is a counter pick game. Whatever role it is you play. And if you end up with first pick then you're screwed unless you go off meta or slightly off meta in order to confuse your enemies.

This is especially true for top. Top is an island. A military outpost in the ass end of nowhere. Sometimes one of the top lane players will receive temporary relief and assistance, but, for the most part, they are are stuck on indefinite guard duty.

Rarely will top carry a match and only if they end up fed and only if their allies do not put the enemy team farther ahead.

That is a lot of "ifs".

There are not many hard hard counters in bot, and plenty of safe picks mid for instance. Top if some guy decides to pick range into your melee blind pick your day is ruined.

Yeah like its enough lmao, riot is hilarious. You take a game like dota where the melee range balance makes far more sense considering you get much more as melee, not to mention they have TURN RATES, what a novel concept, and denying which is easier on melee typically.

I wish league was like dota with different champions in the carry role and much more variety, but alas in this game range reigns supreme and it seems like that won't change.

There is a carry role and there is a meta, the fact that casters and what not even call the bot role "ad carry" interchangeably tells you what the most common thing is and how the "core" positions in this game work out. There is very little variance in core roles and lane setup on league compared to dota, because in league there basically is none. It's duo bot every single game. With similar compositions every game. And you have a dedicated jg every game as well.

I mean I can also play and leave mid open but that isn't exactly the point. Riot intentionally forces the game to be played a certain way and will change and balance things if their "meta" is interfered with.

Riot does force things, and if you dont believe that you dont have any idea of whats effective in the game or not, or dont play at an MMR where it actually matters much.

of course they do, how new are you? How many times has the bot lane gotten a different pick that got subsequently nerfed to enforce riots meta? That is just one example of many, jungle items, support items, etc. etc. the list goes on.

Just about any off-meta pick being nerfed out of existence.

The upcoming sona nerfs, and probably soraka nerfs the patch after due to top lane presence.

Most mages bot lane. Most bruisers as supports. Many other cases.

Yep. I've seen one single sona bot lane game in LCS and now I find out theyre nerfing it. It's so typical.

I really wish this game would become a more varied and diverse experience but riot will never let it.

I dont even agree with him and still think you're being dumb. Disagreeing with him doesnt mean his arguments are invalid.

There are many reasons why he might be wrong, but your adc/bot lane bias is not one of them.
