My 5v5 Ranked Team and I were playing today and we were placed against a bunch of Diamonds and Plats and I don't think that's right considering we are only Bronze 1 and our ranks are Gold 5, Silver 5, Bronze 1, Silver 3, and Gold 2. I think this should be fixed or something. We almost always find it hard to win when playing against much more skilled players.
This is very frustrating. The reason it happens is because their team has the same mmr as yours. It could be that they're just climbing. But yeah it's extremely frustrating when nobody in my team is even platinum and we get matched with people that have diamond 2+ solo queue ranks.
In fact, last year we played against a mid that was in challenger, mind you our team was silver 5 and our midlaner was silver in solo queue.
Basically, yeah it sucks, but it happens because the matchmaking is based on your team's performance and not individual rank.
